If you want a lemon, buy this - it's the lemon that lemons don't want! – We updated our kitchen after many years. We brought quality items to last as well as supporting our local offerings with a Cassette Silent Rangehood 1200mm Black Glass. We wanted a clean look with the rangehood embedded in the roof. We purchased it in November 2013 ready for our kitchen. Things were looking good. However, the complete opposite is true. All it does is leak captured oil, all over the island bench. We have to keep the flaps down so that the oil concentrates in one spot only. It looks terrible and it leaks terribly. We had a schweigen serviceman inspect the unit. He reckon it was OK, he saw the oil and suggested we use different cooking oils. He didn't even inspect it. He just looked at it. So, after many different cooking oils - all have produced the same outcome. The flaps have are low and and the regurgitated oil also continues to flow back down to the kitchen bench. This is the worst product we have ever purchased. If it did what it was supposed to do we'd be extremely happy. The kitchen items that were made overseas have been great - but this locally produced item is a lemon. Don't touch it - if you do it will touch you...and the the service staff won't touch anything.
