Unprofessional, Offensive Staff Member – Disappointing and Racist Response from Management I’ve been a long-time member of Castle Hill Fitness, and while most of the staff are professional. However, there is one staff member who has consistently stood out for all the wrong reasons. She never greets or acknowledges members, instead sitting at the front desk with a clear attitude of indifference. On multiple occasions, I’ve seen her swear loudly on the gym floor while working out, acting as though the rules don’t apply to her. Her conduct is not only unprofessional but offensive and disruptive in a shared environment.
But what’s far more concerning is the behavior of both the employee and the gym’s management. After I raised legitimate concerns about her inappropriate conduct, instead of addressing them, management asked me not to return to the gym. It became clear to me that their response was not just defensive it was racially motivated. The employee and the management team showed a distinct bias in how they treated me compared to other members. I was spoken down to, dismissed, and ultimately pushed out of a place I had every right to access.
This experience has been deeply disappointing and hurtful. Racism whether overt or subtle has no place in any community, and it certainly shouldn’t be tolerated in a fitness facility that claims to be inclusive and professional.
Until this culture of favoritism, disrespect, and discrimination is addressed, I cannot recommend Castle Hill Fitness to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect.
Don’t send your kids to learn swimming there – It used to be a good place for swimming and for family. It’s been changed significantly ever since the RSL took the swimming school back. The terms and conditions are sneaky and don’t think your kids will really get learned in that environment. My son swam there for more than 5 years and he asked me to switch to Blacktown swimming school. Don’t send your kids to learn swimming there.
Excellent – I love this gym, my mother and I recently joined and value for money this gym wins hands down! We pay $35 a fortnight and than includes everything including the swimming. You do have to pay a join up fee which I think was about $99 and you need to be a member of Castle Hill RSL which is $22 a year I think. It still works out much cheaper than everything else in the area.
The staff are amazing, so so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this gym. Friend staff (like a family!) so many class options, great equipment, swimming facilities included
