Century Batteries Dual Force+ 24LX MF
Verified1 review
Bought the battery in January 2023 from Supercheap Auto. Battery was fitted in my Prado as a secondary battery and fitted professionally using Redarc components. I noticed by chance a large quantity of white powder (Probably Potassium Hydroxide) on the metal plate where the battery fits. The acid had rusted the plate. I pulled the battery out and it had been leaking for quite sometime and I estimate it would have been leaking much earlier than the expiry date of the battery which was 24 months. Supercheap didnt want to know about it, the battery cost me just under $400 and when discovered was 6 months out of date. The secondary battery was unused. Unfortunately my main battery is a century and I will now have to monitor this one. A Waste of money and you expect a battery to last more than 24 months and certainly dont expect to buy one that eventually has leak somewhere at the base. I have taken photos but no one is interested. Provided they get the money, after sales service is non existant. For those out there who read this and are considering buying a century battery I suggest you think twice about spending your money on one.
