I’ve been using the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the most gentle cleansers I’ve tried. It doesn’t foam, which I actually like because it feels really soft and non-stripping on the skin. After washing, my face feels clean but still hydrated—no tight or dry feeling at all.
Purchased in at Chemist Direct for $29.

This is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE!! – A girl I worked with (who has the most porcelain flawless skin) mentioned in passing comment that she used Cera Ve “the green one” so I though I would try it. For years I have bounced around from La Roche Posay to Ultraseuticals, Skinstitut, to Dermalogica and at the time my skin had broken out something chronic with little to no relief I was willing to try almost anything. I had tried the gentler cleansers like QV before but it was never strong enough to control my break outs and my sensitive skin with a good enough balance. This has been a game changer. I did try the Blemish Control Cleanser but my skin did not like it. It might be best for body but it certainly wasn’t okay for my face. My skin cleared up and is still clearing up! This cleanser has been the only thing I’ve changed and to see such an improvement is awesome! The texture is abit milky but it’s super smooth and just glides on your face. You don’t need a lot of it either so the bottle lasts a while. I’m on to my second bottle, I love the “Green” Cera Ve!

Pretty good! – I bought this cleanser to try with its sibling Moisturiser (see my review for that epic fail) -Background- I am 35yrs old female but have been genetically blessed with mild acne all my life- joy! NOT! lol. I currently live somewhere that is extremely dry and as such, my skin was really suffering so I thought I'd give this product a go given how much it's raved about. It's worth noting here that NOTHING else has changed in my life with this new product and the same brands cleanser. Ie, no new soaps, detergents or dietary changes etc.
Within 3 days this cleanser has started clearing up my skin (esp since the moisturiser reaction). Things I like: - Thick but not too thick, it doesn't run off your hands when applying it, especially in the shower. - It starts out thick but foams up a bit as you massage it into wet skin. I really like that it's not a thick creamy cleanser as those tend to give me millia, even when they're oil free. - Bottle is easy to use even in the shower and doesn't take up too much space ( I like that its skinny and rectangular as opposed to a rounded bottle which takes up more space in a very limited shower scenario) - It cleans without stripping, but your skin does still feel really clean. I cannot stand cleansers that leave a bit of a residue (nutrogena oil free did that for me) This one does the job of cleaning the skin but doesn't leave you with that tight face after it's dry - Gets sunscreen off really well without over stripping the skin -Hubby is a tradie who works outdoors in dirt and grease covered machinery all day so he gets REALLY gross but this cleanser gets every ounce of dirt and grease off his skin without over stripping it or leaving it dry. - No real smell -No colourings (its clear) or microplastics/exfoliants etc. -Safe aka gentle enough to use every day - A little bit goes a long way. - I swear it's reduced the redness in my acne as well as overall black heads and general oilyness.
Things that could be better; - I know you're not supposed to eat it, (obviously; lol) but sometimes a bit gets on your lips while washing your face and you can't help but taste it a smidge... This stuff is Bitter as hellllll. It tastes sooo bad...Makes me extra careful to avoid washing my lips and keeping them tightly shut in the shower while cleansing lol.
Overall Hubby and I really like this cleanser and will definitely re-buy it. Which is really saying something because he's the type of bloke who cannot stand the feeling of something on his skin and would happily use dove soap as a face wash LOL
