Nice Ride – Have been riding for forty years, this being my fifth motorbike. Thought long and hard about buying a Chinese ride but so far extremely good (bought new 11 months ago and have waited to give an honest review). A truly good bike to own. Had a loose wire connection which caused an ignition lapse but quickly sorted by Moto Adelaide. Handles like a… Read more
dream, nice riding position, a lot of power around the 7000rpm mark; stock features are outstanding! Paid $8490 ride away and no regrets.
Loving it – I have had my 700CL-X Heritage for 2 weeks now (500 km up) and am loving it. It has put the fun back into my biking. It was delivered (apparently from the factory) with 900ml too little oil, but an easy fix. I had trouble checking the coolant level because the plastic bottle is too thick at the window in the outer cover (I had to take the outer… Read more
cover off to see what was what - two bolts and it comes off). I had trouble finding neutral for a while, but that has eased, mostly because I have realised that it takes a moment for the instruments to register and display the 'N' - patience. The suspension is VERY harsh, but seems to be easing up as the bike is run in, hopefully another 500km will see it relax further. I was concerned with the 5,000 km service interval that that may prove expensive if the valves were checked then, but the valve check interval is 40,000km, so should not be a problem. I have two issues: the bike surges at any speed in both eco and sport modes -I hope this can be remedied at the first service (1,000km), and the fuel low warning light starts flashing at about 130km (the tank is still half full - takes only 7 litres at this point) - hope this can be remedied also. On my wish list would be an extra trip meter, as I will be relying more on the single one I have rather than on the fuel gauge, unless that issue can be fixed, and a windscreen. Still love it and am looking forward to being able to rev to 6,000 rpm for the next 500km (fits 500km limit is 4,000 rpm).
