Defective – The thermometer keeps giving me an error when switching to measure in ear temperature. Also the forehead temperature seems to be inaccurate. One minute it reads 38 degrees and then change to 36.8. It's impossible to tell if he has a fever. Contacted customer service regarding warranty claim and never heard back.
WARNING... Do not buy – This is the 5 in 1 thermometer. This would be the best thermometer on the market if it actually worked (i.e. was accurate). The forehead reading does not work at all. It is completely off the mark. The ear reading is inconsistent. Do the same ear 3 times in a row and it shows different results each time. My kid had a fever and I checked his temperature with a Vicks under mouth thermometer and it was 39.
The cherub baby thermometer on forehead showed 36.7 and the in ear showed 37.4. I measure it numerous times and in different positions, but completely inconsistent results and only once showing it as 38.5 in ear.
Can't be relied upon. I have sent in an email detailing these issues but just got a generic response that it was something I was doing that was wrong, not the device.
Also they have no ear probe covers so the sensor will get ear wax stuck to it over time and become even more inaccurate.
Don't waste your time or money, get the Braun one. It doesn't have the forehead reading but what's the difference if the Cherub one doesn't even work. The Braun one is much more accurate and consistent.

At Cherub Baby we always attempt to troubleshoot any product concerns with customers before proceeding with a warranty claim. For the product you did purchase I can see we've done this with you and we're currently waiting for you to return it. Regarding the no ear probe covers, we have chosen an environmentally friendly and safe alternative that’s a lot more cost effective for our customers and in both the quickstart guide and instruction manual it outlines wiping the probe with an alcohol wipe after every use. If this doesn't occur, you may get inaccurate reading due to debris build up.
