Poor customer service from Albert – Hi, after being a long time member of city gym 20 years, turned up for my workout and were told my membership had expired. I joined for a year and were supposed to be given 2 months free only received 1 month. i accepted that mistake. Then they wanted to charge me for the day as my membership had just expired, i had turned up to work out and didnt have my credit card or cash on me and was told i couldn't workout so much for treating a loyal member when they let other people in for free. Plenty other gyms in the area to choose from so not a problem just disappointed in the way is was handled by Albert we have known each other for years, they have lost me and i won't be sending my friends or customers there either.

Great gym in a good location – It's a really well equipped gym close in to the CBD, especially handy if you live in the Potts Point/Kings Cross/Darlinghurst area. There are a lot of very serious bodybuilding and fitness people who work out here, which can be good for motivation. Very friendly staff too. Some of the equipment is a bit old but it's all well maintained and there's machines here I've never seen at any other gym, it certainly has a bigger range of equipment than other gym in the area.

Good – A mix of serious lifters and business man lifters. They have floor staff to encourage you and help you in correctly performing the exercises. The personal trainers are well experienced but do cost a lot. Convenient to get to as it close to the train station and accessible by bus. They have good variety of class throughout the day and night Good amount of space to perform exercises. Cardio equipment have there own tv to keep you motivated. Machine equipment are replaced quickly. The place overview is expensive because its located in the city and have high quality equipment. A little pricey with $18 per week for membership. Very crowded during peak times with members coming from their lunch break.

Excellent – City gym is a great place for any gym rat who appreciates the clank of a set of dumbells. Vying for a bench in peak afternoon/early evening is war but worth it as the equipment is good and the variety of machines really help break up your training sessions so that you don't get stuck in a rut that stunts your progress. Recommended for anyone living in the city who wants to get in and train like it matters. Cardio equipment and staff also rate a mention as this is a great gym all round. As proven by the many well known members of the fitness industry who have/do train there. Excellent variety of weights and machines Peak times are sooo busy!
