There's a few changes – Reading the reviews I was nervous to try the #7. I've always used 106A and it was great, you could see your hair change colour and it worked well. I tried the #7. It's ok. I used it to blend in some old highlights. It's matched the colour pretty good. The old formula went quite dark whereas this one although still dark blonde didn't go as… Read more
dark. It's ok and I would probably use it again if I needed to but like many others I miss the old formula.
New formula is awful – The new Nice N Easy formula is awful. It does not give the same coverage I.e grey hair as the old, tried and tested product and the shades are not the same. It also makes hair dry. I do not understand why such a successful product has been changed to a supposedly improved formula. It is not improved, it is now rubbish, I am moving to a different hair colouring product. Show details
Horrible bring back the original color from years ago – I have used clariol product for at least 55 years. I originally mixed my shade. What have they done this time. I had purchased 106 A the formula had changed from years back and it gave more Red highlights rather than a dark blonde however I tried the new and improved #7 Dark Blonde and my hair color now is light orange /red. I actually cried … Read more
when I dried my hair. The very sad point here is I have thin hair I must use hair pieces and not one of them match now. Please go back to the formula chart you used back in 2000. How very SAD that the new and improved formula has changed so drastically. I bought 4 boxes of this color now they can be thrown away not sure what brand I will have to use to get my hair color to a shade I like. Very sad, Quality of shade very poor.
Dark and brassy – No blond, my hair is light brown and brassy reddish. Old formula would leave nice highlights. I used a med blond color before and same brassy outcome. I do not like the new N n E. Show details
Irritated scalp – I have used Nice & Easy for almost 30 years and was very happy with it. I would often buy 6 boxes at a time to stay stocked up. I used the new formula 2 times and both times my scalp was bright red and irritated. The new color did not have the color variations that I used to have. It seemed one flat color. I just won't be able to use the new… Read more
formula and have moved on to a different brand. I wish they would go back to the old formula. I even liked the liquid instead of the new cream tube. Please go back to old formula and so many of us will go back to buying it.
I hate it – I loved the old Nice 'n Easy, but hate the new version. The color doesn't last, my hair is damaged and falling out. I can no longer trust Clairol products.
Disappointing results – I've used natural dark blonde for years with a great result always but noticed last time the colour was darker and roots paler, tried again and same thing - darker colour and roots pale. Didn't realise changed packaging meant changed product, how was I supposed to know this ? Definitely won't be using again and will change to different product.
New formula, fragrance is horrible – The new formula gives me the same color, but the fragrance is so strong, that I may have to find a new product after using Nice and Easy for over 20 years. I want the old formula back.
Like the new cream addition, hate the resulting colour – I have been using this for years, but since the formula has changed the colour is much darker. I ended up with brown hair with ginger highlights. I am very disappointed as my natural colour is now grey and it makes me look very hard, I have tried to wash it out with harsh shampoo but it has not appeared any lighter. The picture now shown on the box is not representative of the result for me.
New Version Is Making My Hair Fall Out – I bought the new version of Clairol Nice 'n Easy because the old square boxes were no longer on the shelf. I did not mind the perfumed smell or the mixing. After using the second box, I realized that the hair on the top of my head was thinning badly. I went to my physician yesterday to see if there was some medical reason for the thinning, and… Read more
my health checked out fine.
It suddenly occurred to me that the other change recently was this new formulation of my hair color. I am now afraid to use another box of this dye, as my hair is noticeably thinner now. I will be looking for some boxes of the old formula while I decide what new brand to try.
Very disappointed, since I have used this product for probably 30 years!
Horrible! Bring back old version ASAP – I've been using Nice n Easy for years and always loved how my hair looked after. Grays were not only fully covered, I had beautiful highlights and soft, shiny hair which lasted a long time. This new version is terrible. It left my skin stained and my hair dry, brittle and i get knots in my hair after every wash, even weeks later, which I never ever had before. Color faded so quickly too. Don't buy it. Clairol -please bring back old formula.
Flat awful colour, no highlights! – Used this colour for years, I loved the highlights and the ash tones. This ‘new improved’ colour has given me flat, dull, ginger hair! Also stained skin which was difficult to remove. Am now on a mission to remove the colour ASAP. I will definitely not use this again. Clairol please listen to your customers and bring back the old formula.
Horrendous result – I have used the Dark Cool Blonde colour for several years and the colour was perfect for me as it didn't have any reddish tones. How I wish I'd read the reviews before using the 'new and improved formula'. Seems to have a yellowish tint. I am horrified by the results. Its a totally different colour and am dreading going out. staining etc are true. Please go back to the original formula as I won't be buying this again and will be throwing away the other pack I have. So disappointed.

Know better, choose better.
Like the old formula better – I've use 106A for years So easy to use gave coverage and hair color looked good. But this new formula you can't tell what hair strands are covered or not.. It's white as you put it on.. And I hope using #7 is the right translation for 106A There should be a chart letting you know if you used one number what the new one is!
Nice and easy new formula – Been using number 7 dark blond for 15 years but the new formula is totally different my hair come out a lot darker. The old one was much easier to use and on the new box it said same shade as the old box NOT.
