It made my hair reddish!!!!! – Please don’t ignore the reviews saying your hair gets red. I ended up with ginger hair! And the smell was horrendous - my hair still (3 days on) smells like chemicals! I had brought it cause it said ASH!! Saw the reviews, thought “nah, maybe they had a funny undertone or something”. Used it on my light light yellow/white hair and bam - started… Read more
turning red. Panicked and wanted to wash it out, but thought maybe it’s part of process. It’s not.
ash = green undertones!! This is the complete opposite. It ruined my hair and the condition is asp poorer now.
Please don’t make the mistake I did. Never - EVER - buying this brand again. Utter garbage.
New cc +colour seal is brilliant , much better then the old nice and easy that I have used for many years ! – The colour lasts longer , it has made the texture of my hair 100% better with a shine coming back , no it does not leave a heavy stain on my face but as you would do at any time with colour remove any that goes on your hair line or face as soon as it gets there ! Very pleased I hope who ever is in charge of the hair product gets this email ! Show details · 1
Loved this for years; HATE the new and improved formula! – I’ve used Clairol Nice ‘n Easy 114 permanent hair colour for more than twenty years, and loved it. The “new formula” stinks and stings my scalp. My strong, shiny, healthy looking hair is now dull; brittle and breaking. I won’t use this product again. Please bring back the old formula.
Used on medium ash blonde – I used this colour on my dyed medium ash blonde hair to darken it up a bit to more my natural mouse colour. It went very dark, and had definite red tones, it was almost black in areas, very patchy, managed to calm it down a bit after numerous applications of vosene. Defo not the colour it should have been, I actually thought someone might have put the wrong tube in the box, but no it was just terrible!
Awful product – Awful. I’ve been using this product for 30 years and love it but this new formula leaves my ends so dark and spotty coverage for the gray. What were you thinking!!??? Bring back your CLASSIC COLORS (just like classic coke) Please
terrible product – I have been buying this product for at least 15 years. There is no longer a depth of colour that the hair dye once had. In fact it is terrible and I will have to find an alternative product. Not happy.
New & Improved is AWFUL!!! – Have used Nice n' Easy for 20 years and it was perfect for my hair until new & improved replaced it. Hate it!!! It doesn't rinse out and after 3 shampoos hair still feels yucky!!! Please bring back the old wonderful product!!!
Disappointed – Made my scalp itchy and sore and is too dark. I have used this for years and loved the old formula. I won't be using it again. I am very disappointed.
Absolutely dreadful – I have used Nice and Easy for years but I won't be using it anymore unless I can find a retailer selling off the old formula. Like everybody else here, the new formula has stained my scalp, which has left a frighteningly unnatural look to my hairline. Coverage is dreadful! I use an ash brown shade but I've been left with a hideous fake red tinge… Read more
on my roots that screams 'home dye' job. With the old formula, even my stylist was impressed with the professional results I could achieve. And the itching? Don't get me started!!! However, it is slightly less annoying than that so called improved smell.
NO to the new formula!! – I have used the old formula hair dye for a couple of years and loved it. Then I tried the new one twice. The first one I thought was a bad batch but the same thing happened with the second one. It is far too dark and I wasn’t happy with the coverage. Sadly, I agree with all the other bad reviews. Thankfully a chemist nearby had some old ones left and I have dyed my hair and am over the moon with it. Please please please change it back.
Terrible – Loved the old product, perfect shade and no staining. New box is very pretty but the product stains so badly. Hair line was covered and couldn’t wipe it off, on top of that my shower was stained in places too! So disappointed with this product please bring back the old one.
New formula. Soooo disappointed – Original formula. Wonderful. Great highlights. Loads of compliments. Shiny, healthy looking hair. New formula - soooo disappointing. Does not cover grey. Dull flat colour with no lights. Lank, flat hair. What to use now?!
Stains skin horribly – My hair colour is dark ash blond and wanted to change it to light ash brown. Since I couldn’t find it in the type I use; I decided to try Nice and Easy. Well I was really surprised how much I liked the size of bottle and how easy it was to use. To my surprise once I was done I needed my husbands help to scrub my neck, ears and the full contour… Read more
of my face to remove the colour. After scrubbing for about 15 minutes, we had to stop because my face was sore.
I will not recommend this product to anyone nor will I ever purchase this again.
Extremely disappointed and still stained customer.

So disappointed with the new formula 6A formerly 114 – Having used this product successfully for many, many years I am so disappointed in the result of the new formula used today. Not only did it not properly cover my roots (despite me giving it an extra 5 minutes) but it left my hair feeling heavy and looking lank. I had trouble squeezing the tube into the bottle for mixing and ended up asking my… Read more
husband for help holding the bottle but still managed to squirt some of it down the side of the bottle. Sadly, I won't be buying again.
Does not cover 100% grey – I have been buying this product for 20 years. It seems the product has not been improved but changed completely to something inferior. It no longer covers grey and the packaging is misleading when it states it covers 100%. Read the small print on the bottom of the reverse side where it retracts this claim - 'On grey hair color appears lighter' (????) Not exactly 100% cover and it didn't color my grey strands at all.
Miss the old version – I dislike using a tube. It’s messy and product is wasted. I wish they would go back to the original liquid in the bottle. Changing colors is a negative to me because I had found what I like. It’s different now.
Color not the Same – Been using Light ash brown and loved it. Perfect Color! Now the new packaging... the color is too light. I’m Not happy. Why did you change the color? Not sure what I’m going to do! Can we change back?
Changed for the worse – I have been using this for years and enjoyed its even coverage and glossy finish. The last few times I have noticed that the dye stains towels after showering- in the respect that it clearly washes out. Very disappointing- this used to be a reliable product but it no longer even covers regrowth.
Hair came out black in some sections – I have been using Nice and Easy light ash brown for years and the color has always been consistent. I tried the new Nice and Easy and sections of my hair came out black! I gave it another try after using 2 other products and the same thing happened! So disappointed:(
I am changing products – I have been using your product for a number of years to cover greys and have always been happy with the result with colour and particularly how soft my hair was after the treatment. The conditioner was extremely effective. But the first time I used your "new" product I immediately noticed my hair was coarse when dye washed out and after… Read more
applying the conditioner the result was not as it used to be. Very disappointed and will not be using your product anymore.
Can't get information on this – Procter & Gamble don't own this product any more. The help line of the new owners is woeful - they try, but it's just not useful. I wanted to find out which colour is next lighter than 114, but can't seem to get it. 114 is now too dark for me and I want to lighten up one shade at a time. Can anyone help please - is there a list?
