this organisation would spend time and money testing any new variation to a well known line. Apparently NOT. CLAIROL ROOT TOUCH UP, Colour blending gel does not cover grey hair. DO NOT BUY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND EFFORT! This product is a croc, and the company would do well to go back to the original product and resist changes which have made this hair dye USELESS.

which salon I went to. They could not believe I colored it myself at home with Clairol Nice & Easy. Now, the same shade comes out a flat dark brown with no shine. The beautiful highlights are gone, it only covers half my gray and it washes out within a week or two. Please go back to your liquid formula with the highlights, it was perfect! I don't want to start looking for a new brand I just want your old product back.

Not as expected, but nice – Oh ma gah! It is sooo much darker than i was expecting, like almost black, but it turned out so beautifully that im not even mad. the color is so much darker with the under hairs almost black, my hair is dull, dry and lifeless and the smell takes about a week to dissipate. It also is impossible to get off your skin and continues to bleed onto my towels for at least 3 days after dying even though I triple wash my hair the day I dye it! AND I have to leave it on much longer to get my roots colored and that isn't even guaranteed; they tend to vary from application to application. I am so disappointed. I am looking for a different vendor now. I wish I could find the old product still. DO NOT BUY THIS NEW "IMPROVED" VERSION.

New formula - ruins hair – The new cream formula is terrible. I applied the colour the same way I have for the last 10 years. Never written a review before – I have never written a review before but so glad I have found the other reviews .... the new 'so called' improved product is terrible. My hair is dull, lacking a natural look and shine and has left my hair lifeless and brittle. I will definitely search out another brand. I have now used the new product twice with the same result. Why was it changed?

Fire anyone responsible for the newer Nice n Easy formula!!! – One time was ok but after using the newer creamy formulation the 2nd time, my whole scalp has a horrible extremely itchy rash. Medium brown turned out almost black..wwahed my hair six times to try and get rid of the colour! – After disastrous results from medium brown.tried light brown....left roots still grey and No colour. AT ALL!! Rinsed hair.no colour washed away This is a waste of money.

Awful – I used this product for the first time and the smell is soooo strong almost the same smell as bleach I only have shoulder length hair and need to get another box of dye maybe from another brand as this brand sucks

I couldn’t understand what was happening until I stumbled onto this site and read all the reviews, having that Aha lightbulb moment has given me a sense of relief, but also really annoyed me!!

I am disappointed with this product – I have used 118 medium brown for years. All of a sudden there have been changes and the product doesn't do the job anymore. I am forced to change to another product.

Awful new version – I had used the old hair dye for years, since all ingredients have been changed - the colour is much darker and does not last as long.. Will no longer be buying nice n easy hair dyes .. Not sure why all products were changed if from reviews many customers were happy with the old product.

The new box colour is dreadful – I have been using the Clairol Nice and Easy in no 5 for years, but the new no 5 is dreadful, shows no highlights, my hair is dull and the grey shows in one week. Please bring back the old formula.

Not the same as it used to be – I just colored my hair over the weekend and it is also itchy and I have some irritations around the edge as I have read others complain about. I have used it in the past and not had these issues, I will not be buying this product again.

Dire! – Used 118 (5) very happily for 20 years until they changed the formula, I loved the tones and highlights it gave. Vote with your feet ladies nutrisse 4.5 a worthy replacement.

New Product - Terrible – Used 118 for 25 years. It is stunning to think that Clairol launched the "New" version as some kind of improvement. It is horrendous. The "New" version literally damages your scalp. This decision, to launch the "New" version, is like something out of the old movie "Dumb & Dumber". Someone should be fired immediately.

positive I can see, is the non drip conditioner. I was very happy with the 'old' formula. Needless to say I will now have to use a different brand.

After many years for using the old liquid version will be switching to another brand if this doesn't – After using this product for many years this new "improved" version isn't user friendly at all, gives a bad result and also for the first time ever I now have a permanent stain on my bathroom floor from the dye dripping!

Awful ! – Have used this colour for years ,new formula is far too dark and I now have awful dark roots as I only used to do the roots every 3 weeks ,will not be buying again and have to get a hairdresser to sort it out .

Bad bad bad – As with many other reviews, used this product for years. The new solution has made strands of my hair look black and when my grey comes through it looks so trashy. I was so happy with the original but I won't be using it again. You could of just changed the box not the colour.

Unbelievable skin stains – This new formula is the worst. Medium brown turned my hair BLACK. And the staining - I've never seen anything like it! Tried baby wipes, makeup remover, acetone nail polish remover, skin scrub, and dish soap mixed with baking soda - and I still have stains along my hairline that prevented me from wearing my hair up for a week! It's extremely embarrassing and I am appalled that this product ever made it out of their quality control.
