3 stars. Poor quality material – Good light weight. Good power on hard floor but for carpet not great. Disappointed with quality like side clips comes out with in week. Power cable to base is not Good it snap out. Overall wouldn't recommend. Can get better quality just pay extra. Show details
Cheap crap – This is one of the worst vacuums I've ever owned in the 25 years that I've been cleaning. Cheap plastic breaks, electrically unsafe as I would often get electrical shocks and then the cord completely fried because of the useless design of this machine. Never ever again Show details
Great machine and value – Our polivac backpack which is fantastic started to fall apart after many years so wanted a new backpack but not spend as much as the polivac. Took a gamble on the aero lite 1400 unit and love it. Has great suction on all floor types. Found suction dropped when bag is full but that’s not unexpected. Bags are inexpensive. Does more than we want for our home. Show details
Great light machine - works well for home and office – I run a small cleaning business so I use this for small to medium size office cleaning and also at my home. I am really happy with the suction on it - as far as a backpack unit goes it would be one of the best I have used. The cord is long enough for almost everything though in my case a meter or two extra would help. I personally think the… Read more
highlight though is the weight and back support. It is on the lighter end of the scale and its back arch makes it sit comfortably even for a good 30 min continuous use.
Its worth noting the build quality is good but not great. You will notice the difference between this and something more expensive, where light plastic has been used. But I have had no actual problems with that. All works at it was designed to.
Terrible! – This is probably the worst vacuum I have ever owned. It was bought as part of a cleaning pack, and frankly, it's bad. After a few minutes of vacuuming it begins to lose suction. Which means you are constantly going over areas multiple times to pick anything up! The wand is quite short, so your constant moving. The fact that it is bagged probably contributes to its uselessness. The very small positive is that it is quite light. Show details
One of the best vacuum cleaners I've ever owned – Whilst our vacuum cleaner wasn't/isn't marketed/branded as the 'Work Hero BP1', it is exactly the same machine, same accessories, colour, wattage, etc. Ours is branded as "CLEANSTAR AEROLITE 1400 WATT". I purchased two, as there was a promo running at the time. I kept one, and gave the other to a friend as a birthday present. This is by far,… Read more
one of the best vacuum cleaners I have ever purchased, and it's been running well for almost 12 months now. My friend is also very happy with her machine, and says, in a similar fashion, that she is delighted with hers.
We both use our machines regularly around the house. The 15 meter cord is exceptional - I can vacuum my WHOLE house (yep, the whole thing!) without needing to replug the cable once!
The vacuum is bagged, however the bags hold a decent amount, so you dont need to change them over too often. They can be a little hard to find though, and as far as I am aware, they can only be reordered online.
The vacuum cleaner isn't particularly quiet, but its not noisier than any other vacuum cleaner either. It's typically loud for a vacuum, I would say.
The suction is fantastic! The machine produces a phenomenal amount of power, considering its relatively low wattage, as well as purchase price. I'm sure most will agree with me, that suction is really the most important part of any vacuum cleaner - it scores 5/5 for reliable suction power.
The machine comes with a standard rectangular head (plus a decent assortment of various smaller heads), with which it vacuums hardwood floors very well. However, for rug and carpet vacuuming, I would recommend purchasing an additional rotor brush head (any generic brand will do), which generally range in price from ca $35-$150+. The standard rectangular head it comes with doesnt do a great job vacuuming rugs or carpets, however once a rotor brush head is attached, your carpets will come up beautifully with this nifty little machine.
I wouldnt necessarily describe the machine as lightweight, but then again its not necessarily heavy either. Once you've got it comfortably strapped over your shoulders and around your stomach (the straps are padded, and are comfortable), you become used to the weight quickly, and vacuuming becomes almost a pleasant chore - no more bulky machines getting under your feet, no more tripping over pesky cords! The time it takes to vacuum my house has been cut in half, thanks to this great machine that allows me to move around as efficiently and as quickly as possible. Its also very simple to 'unsaddle' again after use.
It also stores away nicely in the laundry pantry.
The machine appears robust in most ways - its been knocked into furniture and doorframes a few times, but its still going with full vigor. Only "concern" is a crack that appeared on the plastic joint connecting the hose to the machine head fairly soon after purchase. However, the crack does not appear to have extended at all in the past months, and it hasnt actually caused any concern or interference with machine function. My friend has not reported any such structural defects at all.
I would recommend this machine for private and commercial use, without hesitation. Overall, I'm very happy with my machine, and wouldn't trade it in for anything.
