Faulty fan heater, overheating – I would rateher not rate this heater at all. My old fan heater died so I ordered a Click 2000W fan heater from Bunnings online $15. I had to ask friends to pick it up for me as I am unwell. I turned it on for about 5 minutes to get rid of the initial smell but it got extremely hot to touch everywhere so now I have to arrange for it to be taken… Read more
back for a refund. Lucky I didn’t leave it unattended and walk out of the room. I would rather pay extra for another heater. It’s not worth buying cheap when it comes to safety.
Does the job but uses a lot of power – This is a basic fan heater we all know about! But to be short about it. - It only makes a real difference in smaller rooms, - Can heat up your personal areas, - Has safety features, like tip over and heat protection However, it uses a lot of power and trips the switch. It may be better to invest in a better one, because the power you end up paying more for. Show details
You get what you pay for! – This click portable fan heater is a very cheap unit, it is cheap and also is known to trip the power boards that it is plugged into. This just shows how ineffective and power hungry the unit is. However, it has safety features which are a necessary for these units, such as tip over switch off and can heat up a little room, or small environment.… Read more
Therefore, the unit meets all the expectations that it advertises and can make a difference to someone wanting a little item that can heat up their personal space.
Great heater for under $20! – I purchased this at for approx. $15-$20 at Bunnings one terribly cold Melbourne night in winter. It was basically a temporary heater as our previous had just died & my spouse and I really required something quick & affordable as we're financially struggling at the moment... After browsing at the shelf for over 20 minutes I was about to choose a… Read more
fancier looking silver portable heater/more expensive brand however I realised the specs were pretty similar minus the oscillating function that I hardly use and the prices were approx $10-$20 more for these nicer looking heaters!
So sticking to the budget (spend the least $$ possible) I picked the Click and I haven't regretted the choice since! Mind you, we use this in our lounge/dining room at the moment and it's quite a large room however this portable heater does its job well! As it's portable we need to obviously be sitting close to it or have it directed at us and the heat is so warm after a short while we're able to switch it off asap and remain warm as long as we're dressed appropriately for winter and it enables us to save on electricity. Especially as these things eat a lot of power, unfortunately we just couldn't afford enough cash upfront at the time for a more power efficient heater.
Basically if you're looking to just quickly warm up due to living in an old cold home, just jumped out of the shower and don't have ducted heating, woken up in a hurry to get changed and no time to heat up your ducted heater, then this portable heater is ideal. It's good for short term use and that's due to the high use of power and especially now before the electricity prices are increase nation wide. It's quiet, stable on a chair or slightly soft surface however it has the switch underneath that turns itself off automatically if it's not sitting on a flat surface or is bumped by kids or pets!
Get what you pay for – As the title says you get what you pay for with this heater. I bought one on a very cold day. Did it heat up the room? Yes it did but it was a smallish room. Unfortunately it was expensive to run and just stopped working about 3 months after I bought it. Show details
Failed out of the box – I purchased this at Bunnings the other day and it simply did not work. Showed no signs of having been previously used, all the owners manuals and plugs were intact in their original plastic. It simply did not turn on. It was returned for a refund.
