Aside from keeping insects out, it makes no sense to have the cover stand in midair while the unit is going as it partly blocks where the cool air is meant to come out. I didnt think my window was large but the panel for the tube connection is too short yet that part cost $99 extra in addition to the cost of the unit. It says you can use the unit without the connections but you certainly cant. It blows too much hot air from the back. Even with the window connection, with the panels being too short, hot air still blows into the room. The tube connecter is extremely rigid and hard to manoeuvre into place. It then also falls out of place unless its taped into position. The instructions are really vague and poor and it takes a bit of fiddling to get things to fit into place and with the thin pieces of plastic components you worry itll break. It just seems like they've manufactured this device as cheaply as possible and made it extremely hard to return. Ive had to write to them for parts that were missing and to get the manual and they responded fairly quickly. Its the same noise level as a fan which is the only good thing. It costs $100 to return the unit, excluding postage, so its not worth returning. I bought this because the reviews said it was energy efficient. But the cost of buying it for it to stand around not being used, was not worth the money at all! I would not recommend this to anyone.

For those considering purchasing this machine, it's worth noting that the noise level on this model cannot be adjusted, and you may wish to consider the pro version if you really want a Coolzy machine. Additionally, I recommend very carefully reviewing their returns policy before making a purchase in case you too, have issues.

reply for a refund as advertised. Buyers beware, I fear I won't be hearing from them again. Would like to be proved wrong.

I am very satisfied with the response from the company – I wrote a previous review lamenting to the unsatisfactory close comfort, the company promptly replied, contacted me with a very satisfactory compromise. They collected the original one, and a replacement was ordered, they offered me a fully refund of the total cost if the new one was not what I expected. I received the new one on a cool day, so today is going to be a good day to test it out with a forecast of 32c.  Show details

excellent but looking forward to yet greater refreshment with this device. Can cool a few people within close proximity. I also appreciate the economical power consumption and consider this machine a sound and worthwhile investment. Achieving proper rest and enjoying time at home is often difficult throughout Australian summers. Especially as heatwaves grow hotter and last longer.
