Toxic ingredients – Please for the safety of your animals don't use coles pet food products buy optimum or branded ones cheap just means sick pets. I have tried it with 2 cats different ages and both had a serious reaction and have been sick for days after and it makes no difference on what flavours or if you buy pouches or tins as it's the same and full of harmful… Read more

ingredients. Runny putrid poops and vomiting is the response. Just stay clear of coles petfood and smitten food from woolworths is also just as bad avoid them.

Other reviewers on this product are BAD CAT OWNERS – as someone who has fostered animals for two decades, I can very reliably say that the other reviews here are not a result of the quality of the food at all, cats will eat lizards, mice and birds In the wild and that's way more unhealthy and gross. What's happened here is that these other reviewers just don't know how to care for and raise cats… Read more

properly. It's nothing personal, but cats, as domesticated animals become creatures of habit just as we do, and if they get spoilt with ridiculously expensive and frankly unnecessary food they will begin to hate anything of lower quality. In all honesty I would have given four stars if it weren't for needing to make up for these reviews from people who've spoilt Thier cats rotten and put themselves in this situation. As far as basic nutritional needs and the overall healthiness of the food, it is perfectly fine, high meat protein with some dry food is the right thing for cats and this provides all the nutritional benefits of the expensive foods, without the pricetag, as well if you actually do some research you'll find that the same companies that make whiskas, purr, etc all come from the same factories and from the same mix of ingredients, but they just put a different label on it and charge for the brand, whereas Coles buys them in much larger bulk and due to product variation does not require huge markups. And the recent price increases make sense too, people are happy to pay $18 for a pack of meat that would've cost $10 not too long ago yet freak out when they have to pay more for Thier animals, reminder, animals are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, and should always be a commitment spanning the lifetime of the animal. Now as I said, if you spoil your cat rotten then they may become too fussy. I may have been critical of owners habits here but apart from that what I've stated is objective fact. I have experienced this and seen this far too many times to ignore it. That being said yes there are still faults, it doesn't go through some of the extra processing that other cat foods do and so it can often smell more pungent, but that does not affect quality, just your perception of the food. And some small nutritional elements may be missing as it's not a complete cat food solution alone, but that's why you use cat biscuits or other foods to substitute what's missing there. Overall I do like this food for my cats, I've never had a single issue with it, except once with the tuna one but that was because after eating it too often the cats got sick of it, which is more my fault than the foods. Now to be clear I'm not a researcher, and I'm definitely not shilling this product, I'm just someone who looks for the cheaper alternative so long as it's not damaging to the animals I have under my care. All of what I've said also does not take into account any specific conditions that cats can have that may cause them to have specific or different dietary requirements. In which case it's always best to consult a veterinary professional for those specific cases. Anyway the foods good, but not perfect, as stated above, but when you're buying the cheapest thing around, why would you expect it to be. Sorry for the rant, in amongst this review, just tired of people looking for excuses to justify Thier own behaviour and what part they have to play in this by blaming everything else in the world.

Never again – Fed this to my cat as I was trying to find a cheaper food for her but the quality is disgusting. She will eat anything except this. I bought 10+tins and they are all going to waste. This food made her extreamly sick. I'm really disappointed. Show details

cat loves the tuna flavour – fussy cat eats 2 spoons of this incomplete feed with her dry feed daily. She refuses to eat so many things but will gladly eat coles adult canned cat food. the quality is not great but the low price and 19% protein makes the product good value.

Mince with Chicken Gravy Adult Canned Cat Food – My cat just licks up the 'wet sauce' and will not eat the solid pieces She goes back has a sniff and refuses to touch what is left. Then she cries. It smells awful. I have tried giving this to her more than once (I purchased several tins) and she is just not going to eat it.
