it's metho, dummy – coles metho is ethanol plus denatonium ... like practically everybody else these days. if it doesn't "work", you should probably state what you mistakenly used it for. certainly it's not a good drink, bleach, paint thinner, douche or nail polish remover. but if you're competent to use metho, it should work just fine as metho, as long as you can work out how to remove the top

for quite a while after using it.
I am rather concerned that some other chemical has been added (or perhaps, not removed?) during manufacture. Since the smell takes a long while to dissipate, I am concerned that there may be a risk that some traces of this chemical remain on my kitchen bench top for a while after use. This is an important issue for me, as I often roll out pastry directly on the bench top, and don't want traces of some unknown chemical getting into my family's food. I never had this concern when using the other brand.
I definitely won't be buying this product again.
I'm concerned about the purity of this product.
