Pretty good coffee and used to be my go to at $20 and under. At $24, it's no longer great value. You can spend a bit more and get better coffee when they're on sale. I only get this when there are no other sales on, which is pretty rare.

I don't know why prices for food and groceries keep getting higher and higher....and they keep continuing to rise.......

BOYCOTT Coles Urban Coffee Culture ORGANIC ground coffee. PRICE INFLATED from $5.50 to $8 in just a matter of weeks! AUSTRALIA says NO!!!!!! REFUSE to pay premiums for these items to affect supply and demand and so they can't continue to price gouge and exploit the working class of Australia. Coles PROFITS at an ALL TIME HIGH and so is our cost of living. SHAME on you COLES!

Weak and watery flavour – Not strong enough. Found it too weak for my liking. Will stick to Harris and Lavazza. Show details

Poor manufacturing – Ok, for the price it is not a bad coffee, definitely not spectacular but not for the first time I have had a capsule with the lid off and the loose coffee grounds throughout the box and more disturbing is the fact that the coffee grounds end up at the bottom of the mug and plenty in the drip tray where the lid pieces through too much. Show details

Delighted – Firstly, the coffee: good strong coffee which I'd prefer was a little stronger still, but well within my range for acceptable. The flavour is very good and no matter how strong I brew it, it isn't bitter. 9 out of 10. Secondly, price is hands-down the best for this quality level. Excellent value, especially for a bean that is ethically responsible. 10 out of 10, Coles. Very impressed. Show details

Dolce gusto pods – First time buyer, mistakenly bought the cuppachino pod, coffee seems good, spoilt by the powdered milk. Frothed up ok, but spoilt the coffee for me. Chucked the milk pods and the coffee ones are ok. Next time just the coffee pods. For the machine well, in some ways better than the genuine. Show details

Very good. Surprisingly good – Best pre-ground coffee I've tried. With my old Saeco via Venezia, it's a bit fine and I blend in one part to 4 off the (coarser) Woollies Chico D'Oro stuff which makes it the perfect press. UPDATE OCTOBER 2025: I no longer buy this coffee. 2 reasons: 1) It gradually became coarser and drier, and even with a better coffee machine, the water ran… Read more

through it too easily which was frustrating. 2) THE PRICE!!! When I first got this it was $12 per kg which was incredibly cheap for half decent pre-ground coffee. When it went up to $14, I was OK with that. But it went up in huge jumps to $18 and now $24 per kg! So it's doubled in price. I switched to a cheaper and better brand.

I 'used' to drink moccona – I found it more enjoyable and palatable than moccona pre roast..at twice the price of urban coffee.. Show details

Surprisingly ok for my daily brews – I don’t know the coffee snob lingo, but this is a surprisingly ok coffee. The ground is probably a bit fine, and if I packed it a bit hard my machine did not like it. Once I got it right, it produced good strong coffee with plenty of the creamy stuff on top. For my daily brews, it’s hard to justify the more expensive brands, when this only costs me $12 a kg.

UP THERE WITH THE BEST – When you’ve had thousands of coffees you really get to know what you like, and I think Coles Urban Roast Medium and Strong are up there in terms of my faves. Give it a go… And it’s good value! Show details

Fantastic Value for Money – Fantastic straight forward ⏩, flavoured strong coffee, without the after taste & a bargain for $15 a kilo. I enjoy the clean coffee ☕ taste & lovely aroma. Of course bean coffee ☕ is the go to cure when the supermarket sells rubbish instant coffee like Maccona, Vittoria, Lavazza, Nescafe 43 smooth & creamy, & Aldi's Alcafe. Show details
