Colonial Fresh Market

Expensive price but with poor quality. Got some gourmet cheese from its Doncaster shop but found out a bit rotten (may be due to poor storage in the shop). Also priced 40% higher than the price at IGA Burke Road. Fruits are all priced at least 30% higher than Coles or Woolworth but not fresh at all. They should change their name to Colonial NOT Fresh.

almost needed a magnifying glass to read the so called policy. After explaining to them that the grapes were bruised, we actually needed to show the cashier we had purchased from not even a minute before that they were terrible quality, the staff got mad at us. It's iffy to even give Colonial "Fresh" one star, if there was a 0 star option that would be the one I would have selected. Don't go here, the produce ISN'T fresh, and the customer apparently isn't always right. 0 star experience.

Colonial fresh Market – I honestly hadn't been to Doncaster shopping town for years as l live in Kew. I have always shopped locally but l was really impressed with the fresh fruit and vegetables and the variety of goods. I will now do weekly shopping at Colonial Fresh Cheers Lisa Wittman

Rude young racist female cashier – Shop at Forest hill Colonial, was surprised to see this young female cashier rude to the old person, accusing him of not producing receipts for items not bought at Colonial. I did experince in this shop by a young Check-out-chit some kind of racist tone being Asian & oldish. I had to strongly rebuff this young lady and subsequently talked with the Manager, young & decent man. I have been buying things from this place for the past 14-15 years but never experienced such tone before from a domineering staff collecting money for what I bought. She wanted to be a BOSS!

On the good side---- one can get many items which are not readily available in other supermarkets. Price is on the higher side. Not all products are top class.

As a shopper, I like the place and only buy chosen items. Not a bad place but for that young check-out-chit.

up. I tried several times, ended up the same. Name of the cashier is [name removed] and this was in chadstone. I can't really understand how could I end up an item that has totally different barcode. Again, it's understandable if its a duplicate entry! So always check your receipt or better else go to aldi, coles or woolies.

Rude staff, horrific tone deaf name – I've seen this one male staff actually try to get aggressive with an old man, it was shocking to see. him. He charged over at me with anger. Ended up with an altercation. Accused me of abusing him. Threatened to sue me. Even shirtfront me asking me to hit him. Blocked him off when he intruded into my private space. He held on to my trolley to prevent me from leaving the store against my will. He insisted to call VicPol to fix me up. Ended up being charged for summary assault. Emailed complaint on incident to the Management. Did not even receive an acknowledgement. They have lost a loyal customer. Be vigilant because the same staff is still there.

Check ur receipt! This place cheats! – I dropped my groceries off at the cashier counter then went to the fridge area (near the exit) for getting some bottles of Kumbucha. that I did NOT buy any corns, I have no idea what the first item was so I drove back to question.

When I spoke with the manager, [name removed]? She first told me that there is noway this could have happened because the machine needs a barcode to scan, then changed to this was a human error and told me "it's okay, we can give you a refund". Overcharging could be a mistake, but how could it be a mistake when I never had corns in my bag to begin with? I told her that I am not here for the $5 refund, I was here because I wanted to tell the manager what the cashier has done. Turns out the manager clearly knows how fishy the cashier was, but chose to defend her. I then left because this dodge business does not deserve another second of my time to be wasted here.

Cheating is not a mistake it's a choice.

though the item was bought on the same day, less than 30 min apart. Horrible customer experience and disgusted to see grocer taking advantage of situation. NO MORE SHOPPING at this shop! will NEVER be a go-to shop ever. They probably think they can swim on upper tide with this virus situation. Don't be complacent!

Used to be cheap - now very expensive. Cheaper at Coles and Woolworths now – This used to be my go to store for produce but now the prices have gone up astronomically that it's far cheaper to shop at Coles and Woolworths or other independent fruit and vegetable greengrocer. had stolen something from this shop. I said that l had not bought anything from the shop nor stolen anything. I said that l hadn't touched anything in the shop. I stated to pull things out of my trolley, a large raincoat, plastic bags etc. The women is putting her hands in a trying to get stuff, my wallet a l said that you are not legally allowed to do this. Do not touch my things a she continued. Then she said what do you have in the outside pocket of the trolley a started trying to get my phone a glasses out of there. I said do not touch my things again. All my things were on the floor. This was in front of all other people in the shopping centre.

Very embarrassing a distressing. She continued to try to put her hands inside both parts of the trolly even though i told her that she couldn't do this. I said that l was going to report them a sue them. She said "Try It" a they walked back into the store. No apology. I sat there a put my things back in my trolley. I then went a asked to see the manager a told him what happened a he apologized to me. He told me that a women shopper had said that i had stolen something. I don't know whether these people were store security or Chadstone shopping centre security. But a very bad an embarrassing experience. A very rude.

your guys think I was stealing, later a guy said his name [name removed], told me they allow to check customer bag anytime when we shop in their shop, I still don't feel comfortable, i steps out of the shop then I trying to taking pic from the shop, [name removed] saw, come out told me to delete the pic, otherwise he call security, I deleted, but my friend told me he not allow to ask me delete the pic!
