wanted groceries delivered as my family is currently sick and our car is broken down.
They asked for my license or utility bill to be sent via email and then refused my order and accused me of making a 'fraudulent' order with them and then reported my information to police.
Great customer service, fast and efficient!
It turns out it's not as easy as you might hope, ordering groceries to be delivered to a sick friend from another continent. In fact, YourGrocer was the only one I could find that could do a same day delivery with the range of products I wanted, and they knocked it out of the ballpark with their customer service. I'd filled my cart and was ready to place the order, but the payment page kept glitching on me so I couldn't complete my order. Being as how I was ordering at the wee hours of the morning in Australia (I'm in the US), I was worried cus...tomer service wouldn't get back in time for a same day order, but I dropped a message in their chat function and waited. Zoe appeared at 9 am Australia-time and quickly went to work troubleshooting. She went above and beyond to help me place an order in spite of a glitch, and she did so while being polite, friendly and funny. Zoe, you have made a friend for life! We got the needed supplies to my sick friend before dinnertime, and the minestrone soup I sent him hit the spot (as did the cold medication, but I prefer to believe it was the soup lol). Zoe and the team at YourGrocer accomplished what I was coming to think might be impossible. I highly recommend this service, not only for the customer service, speed, and efficiency, but also for the selection. There were so many shops to choose from, and they had everything on my list (soup, crackers, bikkies, tissues, cold medicine, tea and orange juice) from great brands at reasonable prices. Kudos to you, YourGrocer!
Requested to send them a photo of my drivers license
I placed an order with YourGrocer, and then received strange text messages and emails requesting my personal details. This is the text from the sms "... Can you please send me a photo with your drivers license or ID? We'll immediately delete the photo after receiving it". It looked like an online scam. I do not think it is a normal business practice to ask for the personal information to be sent via an unsecured channel.
The company cancelled the order today (as they have not received the ID). I found the whole experience very frustrating. A waste of time.
One try and I’m hooked
Your grocer came to the rescue in lockdown when I was in mandatory quarantine and regular big chain supermarkets failed. I ordered at 11 am on a Sunday and by 3.30pm on the same day I had the highest quality fresh produce, meats and even toilet paper (we all know finding toilet paper in a lockdown is rare!) delivered to my door. There was a tiny mistake with one of the items delivered so I emailed your grocer and someone got back to me in about 30 mins and issued a refund for that product, no hassles. I’m seriously impressed by this service - enough to write this interview with no incentives. Highly recommend this service.

A must when your favourite produce falls outside of your 5km bubble
Can’t fault this service. Enabling access to out favourite Melbourne products from St Davids, Dench and Piedimontes despite current restrictions on travel. Clear on delivery times. Keeps to these. Friendly delivery person. Highly recommended.

It was a very easy process to do up a shopping list then choose a delivery time and to actually receive in the time frame fantastic, with a friendly delivery the products I bought outstanding in freshness and excellent quality.

I was really impressed with how easy this was, and quick. Huge range and the delivery was excellent. I got a mix of butcher, deli, fruit and vegetables and grocery items and I only had one substitute which was still pretty good but not the same amount. Compared to other online grocery shopping experiences, this was hands down the best for me. And I highly recommend the pate from Meatsmith.
What a fantastic service
Since we have been restricted to our 5km radius I have been missing going to South Melbourne Market and in particular buying the fresh seafood. I had my first order delivered yesterday and from ordering to delivery I couldn’t fault the service of Your Grocer and the seafood I got delivered was beautiful. Thanks!
Smells like a fresh Melbourne market
Contact free delivery arrived on time with SMS notification and a wave from the operator. All items delivered, beautifully fresh, well packed and wonderful to see paper rather than plastic wrapping and bags. I only had a relatively small order of 9 items but spread over several specialty stores. No problem for YourGrocer. There is a wait list but well worth it.

Great service to deliver fresh fish
Since moving to the edge of the metropolitan area some years ago, one of the things I most missed was being able to buy fresh fish from a top seafood seller at Prahan or Camberwell markets. I thus jumped at the opportunity to order from Claringbolds Seafoods at Prahan Market through YourGrocer as soon as I discovered this possibility. Upon taking delivery of my first order last Saturday, I can confirm that the fish was as hoped: very fresh and well packed and of course delicious to cook and eat. The delivery arrived within the promised two-hou...r slot and I received a text message just before arrival confirming the delivery time. In fact, the whole ordering process was so easy and yet detailed in that it let me select, illustrated with photos, which type of fish I could order, even down to the availability of two different sizes of fillets for a particular fish variety. Being able to select the day and preferred time (chosing from several time slots) within the coming days for the delivery worked fine for me. I also felt that the prices charged for the products and the very economical delivery charge make the scheme one which I will definitely continue to use. While many of us have faced various challenges during this 'lockdown' period, being able to use a new online order and delivery service such as this is like striking 'gold'. I do hope that YourGrocer will continue this great service well into the future. It has certainly started off well.
I had my first delivery from YourGrocer today and wasn't disappointed. The food was all of a very high quality. Right from the beginning I was impressed with the philosophy of YourGrocer. I found the website extremely easy to use and appreciated being able to compare products and prices from the various providers. It is great that changes can be made to the order up until midnight the day before the delivery. Being able to have as many deliveries as you like for only $16.99 per month is excellent, with a very reasonable $60 order minimum. Very satisfied customer!

Just received my first order. Very happy. Great communication. Brilliant fresh produce. Very convenient. Them order arrived within the specified time a slot and I received a text message as the order was approaching. Very convenient and great value delivery fee. I was able to access a great range of different products from range of businesses for a single very reasonable deliver fee.
Great service with good communication, on-time delivery and excellent produce. I appreciated the ability to alter my order even as late as the day before. The only small issue was that I'd like to have been told a couple of items weren't available so I could order substitutes. Will certainly be back for more - keep up the great work!

Hi, I have just been introduced to your grocer. I have had a look at meat prices across the various butchers and find that they are much higher than local supermarkets and significantly higher than ALDI. Im wondering if you have super specials on meat at any time as this is when I might consider buying. Is there a category for specials or an alert service such? Many thanks Andy

The meat prices from our butchers do vary from ALDI and the big supermarkets. It depends which butcher you purchase from though, we have higher and lower end butchers to chose from. We’d be happy to recommend one to suit your needs, you can reach out on chat or call us on 1300 851 343.
We do have a 'specials' filter in our sidebar under 'Category'. Here there a number of meat specials that are marked in orange print.
All of our specials and prices are up to date on the website although I love your idea about an alert service. I'll pass this suggestion onto our team.
