When withdrawing money fro an ATM with a travel card, do I select Credit or Savings? Thanks in advance
I didn't use the card to withdraw money. I carried cash and used travel card (tapping/scanning) for mostly establishments accepted my card
I found it easy from any foreign ATM. I simply select cheque account and it works fine. I should add that I already had a mastercard and other accounts before acquiring the travel card.
Hi, I have used the commonwealth travel money card. the staff told me it is easy to withdrawal cash and it is Visa exchange rate. however, it is difficult to withdrawal cash, and I was not aware there is a very high conversion fee. i have lodged a complain with commonwealth bank. has anyone lodged a complain and received compensation?

I was surprised that the exchange rate was so much lower than expected when i preloaded CBA travel card for travel to Japan. I see lots of people saying the same thing. There was NO info about this on the CBA website at all. Surely its a legal requirement to have this info available / transparent?
So sad to see the state of this banks customer service having used them for 30 years. I also had to go into a branch to collect the card as traveling at short notice. Waited an hour with other poor sheeps in front of a screen advertising CBA services. Occasionally a picture of the smiling branch manager would flash up with the caption "How may I help you?" I assume the question was rhetorical...

Comm Bank Travel card was loaded with $790 AU to allow for exchange to US which ended up being $550USD, then made a cash withdrawal from Walmart in Fairfield ILL over 3 transactions as ATM had a $300 limit and the charge on card was $300 US and $444 AUS. Why is there a double dip charge for exchange when the Travel card is already in US$!!!!
