5 star service – Andrew and the CLE team are completely trustworthy, very experienced and lovely to deal with. They arrive when they say they will, they do a great job and leave your home as clean (if not cleaner) than when they started working. When they have finished the work they double check that everything has been turned back on, is working and that there will be no problems once they have left. Show reply

Excellent Service – Andrew gave great advice on the jobs I wanted done. The type of fittings and their placement. Luke and James arrived on time and were both friendly and polite. I couldn't believe they got everything done in one day - although having said that they hardly stopped. It was great to deal with this company and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Show reply

Highly recommend – CLE – second opinion is now our first choice – We recommend CLE for your electrical work without hesitation. We cannot recommend highly enough Andrew (owner), Jordan and Max from CLE. They are professional, reliable and a pleasure to deal with. Our difficult issues were resolved. They were seen as challenges to be overcome and not seen as problems that couldn’t be resolved. Not only was Jordan… Read more

able to fix all the two-way light switching problems, he also installed a fan and downlights in areas we were told was not possible. We thank Lighting Affair at Caringbah for recommending Andrew (CLE) to us.

An added benefit was that Andrew is able to refer you to other required tradesmen. The plasterer recommended was also professional. He was reliable and his work was of a very high standard.

We would definitely recommend CLE to anyone needing electrical services. They are certainly worth a phone call if you have been told you are not able to do some electrical changes you are wanting. Steve and Nicki

Great Solution – I contracted CLE to provide new lights for my tennis court & remove the old dated ones. Andrew was very knowledgeable with providing an upgrade solution for the court lighting. They ran new conduit & cable around the court, the new lighting provides great coverage across the whole court. I found CLE to be very efficient & tidy with their… Read more

workmanship. I also had them install fans & TV points in my mothers house, she was very happy with their service & how quickly they finished the job.

Trust, experience and professionalism – As part of my property maintenance and renovations business,I deal with many trades people and have had experience with many electricians over the years. For many years now, I have maintained an ongoing relationship with only one electrician - and that is Andrew and his team at CLE. This isn't because they always give the cheapest price.… Read more

Sometimes this isn't important at all. When it comes to electrical works I have found you need people who are experienced, knowledgable with industry standards, and honest about the requirements of the job.

Whenever I use the services of CLE I sleep easy knowing that the job will have been done to the highest industry standards and that whatever else may come up Andrew and his team will have been proactive enough to ensure that is addressed.

Their dedication runs across the entire team as all their staff are instilled with the values of Andrew which is one of professionalism, trust and decency. Great company and genuine people.

Totally recommend Connected Lifestyle – Andrew's team at Connected were fantastic. Sorted out a major drama for me without delay and for about half the price of the two other quotes I got. Always on time, kept me updated, cleaned up afterwards (heavy rain at the time) and very pleasant. The job took a a half a day longer than first estimated due to near flooding, but they stuck to their quote. Definitely recommend for any work. Thanks guys.

Watch out for the "extra costs" – Connected Lifestyle were sub contracted by our kitchen/bathroom installer to do the electrical work on our renovation. This was a substantial renovation and not without its issues. Whilst construction was underway, it was not unusual for the various trades, especially the builder and plumber, to notify us of unexpected problems. The extra work… Read more

was quoted for on the spot, the work carried out and invoiced on completion. During the work, we had a door way that was to be deleted. Next to it was an architrave mounted light switch. The electrician called me and asked what I wanted to do with it, (ie, disconnect it). I told him to put a wall mounted switch on. He advised that this would be an extra cost. Wall switches cost about $10 and the wiring was already existing, so, should be fifteen minutes work, right? On another occasion, we had a phone socket and a gas water heater controller in the kitchen. The electrician called and suggested that we have them moved about two feet to the left of their current location so that they would not look ugly on the new tiles. We agreed. He advised that this work would be an extra cost. Fair enough. We also noted that the kitchen designer had not allowed for a light to be mounted over the medicine cabinets but rather, a downlight over the basins. So we asked the electrician to run the cables down the walls so that wall lights could be installed. At this stage, the main bathroom had been sheeted but the ensuite was still a shell as all the lining had been stripped out. The final thing we requested was that a power point in the kitchen be changed from a two outlet, to a four outlet. Once again, this was a straight swap and no cost was discussed. Granted, the four outlet power point may have cost more than the two outlet, but we had already paid for that as part of the quote. At no stage were extra costs discussed for any of these jobs. About a month after the work was completed and all trades people had left, I received an invoice from Connected Lifestyle. I forwarded the email to the kitchen company thinking that it had been sent to me in error. But a few weeks later, (after I thought it had been sorted), received another email, again with an invoice for $555+gst. It not only included the works above but also had "relocation of three hot water controllers" Apart from the kitchen one, which we knew was chargeable, the ones in each of the bathrooms were charged as extras. Not because we asked for them to be relocated but because "it wasn't in the scope of works" In other words, someone took them off the wall during demolition, the electrician had to reconnect them to the original, existing cable and mount them on the wall. I emailed Connected Lifestyle complaining that 1), we were being charged for work we weren't aware we were being charged for and 2), the price was too high. I received a lengthy email basically stating that my wife was mostly blame because she had agreed to all of the extra work, (which we dispute), and that if something wasn't in the scope of works, that apparently was my problem. The thing is, I am an electrician by trade and I know exactly what is involved in all of the work that was done. I did send another email explaining that when push came to shove, my main complaint was the high cost, not who said what to whom. I suggested a figure of $350 +gst, (to cover three hours work and some cable). Connected Lifestyle replied and reduced their invoice by a whole $55. Woo hoo. So this review is basically a cautionary tale to anyone engaging a contractor. The oldest trick in the book is to come in low on the initial quote so that you get the job, then make up for thin margins by doing extra work. So if your tradie says, "this will be an extra cost", make sure your knee jerk reaction is, "send me a quote - I want it in writing". PS. I should note that I had no problem with the quality of the work and though I looked into making a claim with The Department Of Fair Trading, its a process, so I eventually paid the $500. I guess sometimes you have to decide what hill you want to die on.
