Pretty disappointed with Same Day Trades Plumbing to be honest. Called them out for a water leak and they first thought it was inside the wall, so they cut into one of the rooms and made a big dusty mess — turns out the leak wasn’t even there. it last Friday (1 May). Now less than a week later, the same spot is leaking again.
We only noticed after getting home from work and hearing water running flat out with the water meter spinning non-stop.
Tried following it up and apparently no one’s available until next Wednesday. They also said they tried calling me and left a voicemail, but there was no voicemail at all — just a missed No Caller ID call.
Meanwhile we’ve had to turn the main water valve on and off every day before work, before bed, etc. just to stop the leak. (Tried to save it with everything we had even with the duct tape but it required a professional tool and professional plumber)
For a repair job that supposedly cost around $2k, I honestly expected a lot better service and a bit more responsibility when the repair failed almost straight away.
Definitely not recommended. And we don’t know what to do next…

After spending almost $10,000 to have the stormwater pipe replaced under the driveway, which made no difference, other problems were identified yesterday, which should have been picked up initially. $10,000 of completely wasted money, and no result for the problems. Will never go back to them. Adelaide area.
Had a tap that would not turn off and was very worn. Same Day Trades sent a crew straight out and quickly resolved the issue, installing a brand new mixer in my kitchen sink. Work was fast and professional and I remained informed for the duration, making the whole ordeal stress free. Very happy with my new tap. Show reply

Plumber arrived at the ollotted time. Determined I had a hot water pipe leak (not water heater as I thought). I helped locate the leak. He gave me a quote for "worst case scenario" - demolish a couple metres of concrete path, dig to 1m, replace/repair pipe. After finding the leak - where we thought it would be - with only about half meter square… Read more
of concrete cut out, he repaired the 13mm pipe (half meter of pipe and two compression fittings) and then would not reprice on best case (which it was). I was charged $2078 i.e. just over$600/hour for 3 hours on a basic plumbing job and then he charged me another $207.80 GST on top, I thought GST was in the quote. Total $2285. Will never use this business again and I don't recommend them.
Great service provided by Mark and Luke. They were very professional and helpful. They came on time and gave me a quick ring to say that they were on their way. I am totally happy with the job. I had my smoke alarms replaced, power points in several rooms and a retractable fan installed. Show reply
The plumber was nice and did a good job. BUT $767.80 to install a new bathroom tap set which i supplied. Work out the maths for a 45minute job I'm also a preferential customer with Same Day Trades as well I must have won the lotto.

We were only going to be having a ceiling fan replaced & found out something that should have been installed hadn't been done prior to other work being carried out before hand & we were happy with Mike Willis as to how he went about doing his job as he is a very nice guy. Show reply
Follow-up · We were informed by the electrician that there should have been an extra RCD in power board to protect all the lights otherwise the the initial ceiling fan swap over would have been done in a short period of time as previous electrician didn't pick up on it or informed us about it, RCD installs do take a little bit of time & to ensure all is ok.

Matt was polite, professional, and respectful throughout the visit. I felt completely comfortable having him in my home, which is very important to me.
The cost was reasonable, and I did not feel overcharged in any way.
I would definitely recommend this service and would not hesitate to use them again.

I will start by saying I should have read the reviews first. We had a blockage in our toilet and booked a plumber from Same Day Trades to come as we had a fridge magnet advertisement. $1100 to unclog a build up of toilet paper. Our home is new build. They requested immediate payment. When I asked my elderly husband if they told him this is how much it would cost he said no, he had only been told about the $99 callout fee. I can see a pattern emerging from the reviews that if they see a vulnerable person they take advantage and price gauge. To add insult to injury, I have been witness to a major plumbing job, in the same week, with majorly blocked drains in an older property that was hours work with a reputable plumber and it did not cost as much as our toilet paper blockage. After requesting a receipt, I have received one, but not a detailed report. I have now emailed requesting a detailed report of what they actually did to justify the cost of this 40 minute job. I will await a response.
Highly disappointed with samedaytrades. Very expensive. Not explaining the price they are asking for, eg, cost of material, timing etc. They refuse to give a rational explanation. I don’t trust them because they are pushing you for more jobs to be done by making false and alarming suggestions. Don’t deal with them before asking many questions and do not trust their narrative. They are trying to rip you off big times!!!
My ageing mother has Pancreatic Cancer. The plumbers engaged in an aggressive upsell, forced a contract upon us, and insisted on a $800 deposit. My mother cried and was very upset. The plumbers then did not arrive on the appointed day to do the work. No explanation.
