A good lesson in why you never leave kitchen appliances unattended – A good lesson in why you never leave kitchen appliances unattended. I set it up, made sure everything was correctly assembled, including the base, as I'm no stranger to blender mishaps- either from the base or the lid not being secured. Well, I managed to use this blender once, triple checked the base, and then as I was using it, I noticed it was… Read more
vibrating so much that it was unscrewing at the base. Next thing I knew, my smoothie was spewing everywhere, and I pulled it out of the wall. From what I've read, this is not an uncommon issue, and I'm surprised it wasn't recalled, given that liquid pouring into the blender motor is a major safety hazard.
Made from a cheap plastic that will not last for a week – Very disappointed by the poor quality Didn’t last for me even for a week Easy breakable with complicated locked and unlocked Show details
Terrible junk should be recalled!! – Just another nasty cheap, knock off blender that dumps all the contents all over itself and your kitchen!! **AVOID AT ALL COSTS*** Show details
Don’t bother! – Don’t bother!! It’s started smoking right after our first blend we tried making pork dumplings and we managed to use it one time and almost died haha
Keeps separating from the bottom and getting smoothie all over my counter, wasting all my ingredients – This might work to make a milkshake but no good for anything else. Show details
Not recommended – Waste of money!!! Doesn't blend properly. Useless for Smoothies. My main requirement is for smoothies and it doesn't blend fruit properly. Do yourself a favour and buy a different brand. Show details
Cheap and nasty – Contempo is Big W's own brand of kitchen appliances. I used this blender probably 5 days a week to make a smoothie. It started leaking from the shaft drive after a little over 6 months. Motor still worked fine but I wasn't prepared to have smoothie liquid leaking everywhere so I took it back to Big W for a refund. I then bought a Kambrook… Read more
blender and wow what a difference. The Contempo blender is really poorly designed as it doesnt chop soft fruit like bananas, strawberries or raspberries anywhere near as well or as quickly.
So my advice is to spend a little more and get a quality product.
Blends for soft fruits – I use it to blend soft fruits and overall giving 3 stars for its blending ability. It handles liquids pretty well, but not for harder foods or solids. Fruits like apples are not going to blend well with this blender. It is easy to clean however. Overall I would recommend if you just need a cheap blender for soft fruits. Show details
Cheap Blender that works – I would rate three-star for my Contempo blender. It does its job, but does not really blend properly. Even if I turn it on and blend for over 5 minutes, the blended juice is still not as smooth as fruit juices that I bought from a store. It works well with soft fruits like mango, but quite poorly with harder fruit like apple. It is also a little bit noisy when it blends. Show details
If I could give 0 stars I would – This did not blend a thing ! I bought it for my teenager to make smoothies and it couldn’t even blend soft fruit It doesn’t blend any food well Does look ok Cost $39 so I could have bought the bottom range Nutri bullet for $69 What a waste of money I am going to try and return it as it is not suitable for use Show details
Doesn’t blend properly – I bought this product 4months ago and disappointed because most of the stuff it doesn’t blend properly like dates and avocado because it blades are not at down side to products always remain at bottom. Show details
Generally good – A little bit noisy. other aspects are quite good! Just keeping use it for 2 months and not sure for the endurance since the blade started to become a little bit blunt Show details
Looks good but very poor quality – It looked like a great buy to make my morning smoothie after my Nitriblaster died. But it started leaking after 3 months of use. The issue is the seal around the bottom. Since it is not powerful enough for dry food, it is now sitting wasting space. Show details
