Works great but unfortunately defective – BLUF: great working production for 17 min but terrible company that doesn’t back their product. I bought this product and it took awhile to get delivered because it was shipped from China. When it came I plugged it in a went to work. The instructions were simple because link it was fairly simple. I was excited that it worked so well! When started… Read more
my car to go home it from work it auto linked perfectly. Unfortunately, it stopped working 2 min later and wouldn’t come back on. I assume I just got a bad one and contacted Cplay2 Air manufacturer to get a replacement. They responded promptly that once they received my defective product they would send out a replacement. However, they wouldn’t cover shipping (I asked) and it would cost me $63 to ship to china!
Terrible – Purchased and didn’t work in my kluger. Returned the item month and a half ago and still haven’t received the refund. Apparently the item came from stated but return was china. When followed up with them they said their warehouse needs to check and then process the refund. It feels like a scam! Show details
Once connected works well – I’ve used the adapter for a few years now. Most of the time I need to turn off my Apple CarPlay head unit and turn back on to connect via Bluetooth. Once connected it’s stable and functional. I’ve tried a software update via a link but didn’t work. I’ve gone back to a cable for convenience Show details
Don’t waste your money – Absolutely not worth the price Drops out and reconnects constantly, I have gone back to using a cable Show details
It’s a junk! – Avoid! It does not work with Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ionic 5! It does connect, but for a few minutes only, then the infotainment screen goes blank… Return process impossible to complete with 60-70% loss of money anyway. Never ever even consider buying it! Show details
Buyer Beware – Purchased as a gift; requested a return authorization as the product was not wanted... information as follows: 25$ restock fee for an UNOPENED product... shipped from University City, CA
Purchased from and shipped from the United States. The return item is to be returned to CHINA at cost of the consumer, yet is it mailed from University City, California, in the UNITED STATES!!
The company return process makes it unennessarily difficult to return their product. The company PURPOSELY creates a more expensive process directing the return be shipped internationally (nothing stated in the return section of their policy). Fees are as follows $25.00 restock fee, $28.00 shipping fee, $6.00 insurance fee totals 59$ to return a 99$ item, AND must be done within 15 days.
Poor customer service, I would NEVER recommend a purchase from this company in CHINA representing themselves from the USA; or is it simply to create an imposition to the customer.
INSURE the product for 15$ upon return??? Product cost 100$ and insure for 15$, SPEAKS VOLUMES!
Attempting to place a review on their site; strange how selecting "one star" their system will not acknowledge the review.
BUYER BEWARE...
Delivery time of over a month with no updates – The part gets sent directly from China. The Chinese tracking link doesn't get updated and states "The item is on transport to the country of destination". No idea if and when I'll get the part. I will never order any parts from CPLAY@AIR again. Show details
It does not work – So really this is a product that does not work. i bought one. so...it's not a seamless start. you have to wait and wait for your car to find the phone. slower than hooking up a cable. Oh, and if you want to return their defective product then YOU pay the shipping to China (ya, really) and YOU pay $25 as a restocking fee. There is a reason… Read more
these 'fine' folks don't sell through Amazon. it would be a dream if this product worked. But it doesn't. You'll just have to wait until the car manufacturers find a way to get lowband bluetooth to work as a connection.
Device was faulty after 12 months of issues – My device simply stopped working. I contacted Customer Service multiple times. they tried to force me to do updates etc. - even though i had already tried everything. 3 weeks later - the tell me that the device is faulty and is out of the 12 months warranty and nothing could be done. Do not buy - fair better and cheaper options out there. Not happy. Also had major volume issues with PROMPT volume that couldnt be fixed. Show details
Don’t buy CarplayAir 2 wireless adapter – The unit worked fine for a few months then developed a fault just dropping the connection randomly. This was proceeded by a full hardware fault. Contacted vendor who keeps asking me to go through the set up. Not possible when it says hardware fault on the dash. Vendor is now not responding to emails. Show details
Rubbish product and rubbish “customer service” – Rubbish product and rubbish customer service. It didn’t work and their “customer service” made me waste time trying different things to try to get it working. I eventually had enough and said I wanted a refund. They said the time for a return had lapsed. Honestly, a bunch of unprofessional amateurs. Show details
Misleading Delivery Options – Haven't received my order as yet (and wouldn't have ordered if I had read the reviews) but paid $US22.95 for Express Delivery 2-3 Business Days. After 5 days I complained only to be told delivery is normally 10-15 days whether you pay for Express Delivery or Free Shipping. No response from Company as to refund for $US22.95. Any business that does… Read more
not respond to negative reviews obviously knows its product is defective and is just ripping people off.
Works as advertised – I installed this in my 2016 Elantra and was pleasantly surprised at just how easy this was to set up and how well it worked. What little documentation there is is terrible and needs to be rewritten by someone with a reasonable grasp of the English language. I have both mine and my wife’s phone linked and can choose one or the other at startup. Show details

Know better, choose better.
CPlay2air – Horrible company and product. The product does not work. Customer support requested a video of my phone and car showing what I was doing. Their website wouldn't accept the video.
Do NOT buy!!! – I received this for my bday a few weeks back and was excited to finally be cable free. My excitement soon waned as it didn’t work at all, nada. I have a brand new car (Mazda CX8) which they claim to be compatible with. After a lot of back and forwards performing firmware updates it finally was able to be found and connect to my car. However it… Read more
was quickly apparent it would only connect sometimes, other times not at. Leaving me spending more time frigging around than just using my lightning cable something this was supposed to eliminate!
Unhappy i tried to return it but was told as it was more than 14 days I was no longer entitled to a refund! Excuse me!!!
The whole time I had it I spent it trying to get their stupid thing to work sending videos, installing updates etc. Unbelievable!
Poor customer service experience. Avoid like the plague
DOESN'T WORK DO NOT BUY – Doesn't work on new models and they stuff you around for a week and then get you to manually update it which took an IT professional to do and then send it back at your cost and then their decision as to whether it works or not. Feel gutted that they would still peddle this rubbish and it's not the money so much more the way they treat customers. Show details
It is not working at all – Don’t buy it is a waste of money. I bought and it is not working at all. If you ask them for refund they going to ask you to send it to China and refund going to cost you more. Please don’t waste your money. Show details
No connection at all – Bought this to go with our new 2021 Mazda. It did not work at all ever. Worked with their customer service for a couple of hours to trouble shoot the dongle, still no result. To return it for a refund I need to pay postage and declare the value of $15 on the customs form. If possible I would give this item no stars. Avoid the hassle do not buy this item, google search the cplay2air first, I am not alone. Show details
BEWARE – I have an iPhone 12 Pro paired with a Pioneer NEX4200 head unit. I was excited to receive this as a Xmas gift from my parents as it's quite pricey. When I plugged it in, it installed immediately and worked great for about 2 days. Then, problems started up. I noticed my Waze was frozen more than half the time the unit connected. I would have to… Read more
plug/unplug the unit over and over again to finally get it to work. When changing songs, it would take 1-2 seconds to skip to the next one. So, I contacted customer service who then proceeded to ask me to jump through a series of hoops. I had to send them video proof of the freezing up and slow commands. I was asked to update my phone (which already was) as well as check and uncheck several options in the settings. I then had to perform several updates to the unit via USB. I was also asked to re-connect the Bluetooth connection several times. Nothing seemed to work, in fact, it only got worse as it started rebooting my head unit now. I could only imagine that this has to do with my particular phone model as it's new.
This went on for about a month... then, I finally said no more and asked for them to exchange the unit as I figured mine was faulty. I was told to package the unit up and send it to China (on my dime) for evaluation.
I was of course unhappy with this solution as my parents had already paid for the product AND for shipping. To me, it's quite obvious that the unit is faulty and not my issue, yet I am expected to pay additional fees in order to obtain a working unit, something I should have received from the beginning.
I'm sure your order will be fine, however, know that if you ever have a problem, you will be expected to pay additional fees for any solutions. Good luck!
CPLAY2AIR Wireless Adapter (Apple CarPlay - Hyundai i30) – Well packaged and the simple, no fuss design means it blends away inside the car console very well. Nice product works really well, a small minor quirk with initial startup giving a message on the car dash radio unit but this does not affect the performance of the unit. The massive plus of having NO cables well outweighs the minor startup message which is likely to be addressed in a future software firmware update.
