Good mower – I bought my Australian V twin , 24 hp , YT4000 , 42 inch cut in January 2015 for $2,800 . Mower is comfortable and a tank of fuel lasts a long time , the only problem is I can't see the fuel level . It also has a very tight turning circle and is very easy to maneuver around trees . I have mowed 1 meter high grass which the powerful engine made… Read more
light work of clearing the land around my house to make a fire break . I now mow 5 acres of rough hilly land .. The only problems I had in 6 1/2 years was one ignition coil failed after 2 years , the battery died after 4 years , the plastic steering wheel broke after 6 years ... $80 for a new steering wheel so I modified a car steering wheel to fit which will never break .. I broke a few spindles , bent a set of blades and stripped the spline out of one pulley from hitting rocks but that was my fault.. Parts are easy to find on ebay . My YT 4000 is still going strong and with regular maintenance IE oil and filter change , air filter and regular greasing , checking for loose nuts and bolts it should be going for many more years . I also blow all the built up grass off with compressed air after every use keeping it from rusting where the grass has built up. Overall I'm very happy with this mower ..
Wish I never bought this yanky [ lalaland ] rubbish. workmanship not existing. aaa should look into – I bought a ride on mower yt4000 on march 2017, what a lot of utter rubbish. Typical american junk. Has been cutting grass total of 65hrs. battery dead after 6 month. v belt shredded on 28.oct.2018. both items with no warranty. This country run on metric. Guess what, measurements, screws and bolts are in imperial. I paid $4450.00, the mower has… Read more
done 65 hrs, I paid till now $ 70.00 per hr. to mow. not only that it is sitting in the shed idle. New battery $88.00,
replacing belt and labour $??. triple [aaa] should look into the problem. I will never ever buy any item from
lalaland again. if trumpy is reading the above would say fake news.
Good for six months and then – Mine is an Australian model purchased mid 2016. After six months the spindle broke around the bolt holes. Got that replaced at the service centre. Now at 14 months the back wheels have snapped of the frame. The bolts seemed to have dropped and that was the result. Only mow 1.5 arces and now treated hard. Show details
IT's a great machine – I have had mine for nearly 3 years I have worked it hard it has never let me down engine wise and the only problem I have had with it are few wer my fault. I have about 4 acres wich I have cleared using the mower to tow a trailer I now mow it and have planted one thousand blueberrie plants where the mower is used to mow between the rows tow the trailor to spay weeds it does every thing I use it as a small farm Show details
Craftsman LTS3000 - 42inch deck 24Hp, can live without it – Mine is an Australian model approx. $4500.00 new. Seems we have the same problems with our mowers. On my 3rd set of spindles, two have broken around the bolt holes. Replaced 2 x pulley's on top of spindles. Stripped out the stamped centre, once it rounded the shaft on the spindle. Latest fault is a seized drive belt pulley, yes the plastic… Read more
ones, two need replacing, melted away. Got on the web today and found out about changing the oil in the diff, it was like discoloured water so I will be doing this every 6 months from now on. It is not a big job only took a couple hours. I would like to add that my property is 2 acres that is flat and gets mowed every week or maybe every couple if it has been raining. This machine doesn't have to work to hard. Almost forgot, the blades, stick with the heavy duty ones, they last about 5 to 1. Looks good Heaps, not a quality peice of equipment, cheaply put together for the price.
Craftsman 24 hp 42" cut ride on mower – Purchased in March 2013. Heap of shoddy junk. The T section on the steering wheel is open, leading to sore hands. Hot air from the engine blows over the operator, can't see the amount of the fuel in the tank, because the gauge is opaque, not clear. The seat gives me a back-ache - probably meant for a 6' tall man, time they realised women buy… Read more
mowers too. The mower wasn't even cheap. My fourth ride on, and the worst by a long way. Shame on Sears. 116 hours, beginning to fall apart. Produces a nice fnish on the lawn. Shoddy, poor quality, poor design
Nice Cut – I bought this mower on special with mulch kit and spare blades thrown in, the shop forgot to give me both items, they did how ever give me the ride on! I will have to return and pick up the extras later. I gave the mower a fairly good work out on some rough terrain we have approx 2 acres and most of our block is sloping and bumpy, not a lot of… Read more
flat smooth ground, the LT1500 did a great job cutting the grass and it looked nice and neat - compared to my previous mower it is much improved, especially in the cutting department, it handled some severe slopes well and never felt like stalling, being able to mow in reverse is handy for those tight spots, so far I really like the LT1500, maybe because my previous mower was such a pig, in any case I have only had the mower for a short time and I guess time will tell how well it ages.... so far however I am satisfied. reasonably priced The mowing height adjustment arm is hard to engage sometimes
