ONGOING OIL PRESSURE ISSUES – Shortly after buying the mower I had problems re starting it due to a message " Low Oil Pressure " because this of this message appearing the mower would't start. I contacted the dealer and after a lengthy conversation they told me it was an issue with the mowers that involved the chip and after a time would resolve itself, after the machine seemed to cool down it started again, this happened for several occasions then seemed to stop, that is until today, it has done the same again but after over 3 hours and the machine cooling down it still wont start still displaying the message although there is plenty of oil. I again spoke to the dealers and went through the details again before they said they would have to pick it up, $80 for pickup, I asked them what they would do with the issue, of course no answer. It appears after searching the net this is a regular issue with the Cub Cadets

Very impressed – After using a Toro 212H for many years, I upgraded to the RZT42, The Zero turn is a feature that I would not go without ever again. I have had troubles with battery terminals, after extending the leads, no problems since. My muffler fell apart, Welded it up again and bolted it in to place, is now working well but I thought it was a bit premature at the 80Hrs of use mark. I have replaced the cutting blades with Gator blades which are available on E bay, heavier Blade and mulches at the same time, worth the extra money. Not too steady on steep inclines, best to avoid the hills. Much faster, Zero turn is excellant. Can be more dangerous on steep hills than the traditional ride on.

Excellent – I would buy another one. I really like how reliable it has been, it still performs like a new one. Good machine - I have had one of these mowers since Sept 2004. Reliable. Quick enough to mow my (approx) 2000 m2 lawn. Very maneuverable. Robust chassis - previous mower broke it's steel frame chassis. Easy to service if I want to. Does an 'ok' job - acceptable but not great - I think it's the type of mower not only this particular design. Doesn't rotate the blades in reverse - probably a design safety feature. 2 problems in life of mower - blown head gasket and broken deck hanging cable (< $20) after 5 years. I keep a spare one now.
