Purchased on the Friday died the following Tuesday! – Purchased after stumbling across this machine on YouTube as I do some gardening jobs on the side, the first vacant block of land I slashed was a 600sqm with mostly tall young grass and about a quarter of the block was dirt amazingly the cords were still intact! The only thing I noted was it was a bit harder to start when it had warmed up and that it went through fuel quite fast. The second block was about 700sqm and had alot of woody weeds with up to 1 inch thick stems, it started to go through alot of line ,after I had run out of the original line pieces from the box I found the after market line that comes in a big roll didn't work as well as it was bent instead of straight so it slid out alot more which meant I was going through alot of line, I think this machine was designed to use the straight pre cut pieces as they seems to last alot longer -starting when hot still seemed to be an issue at one point I think.i had to pull the cord half a dozen times! On my third job I was faced with much thicker straw like grass and it struggled -alot of line changes every 10 minutes and harder to start until eventually grass became wrapped around the shaft and then it couldn't be started again. The shop a brought it from said some pin or screw had broke in the shaft and said they sent for parts but I said no and asked for a refund, I just couldn't rely on it again as I think it has weak internal parts and it's engine was no where near as smooth or easy to start as my Briggs on my mower .

Purchased in for $679.

Useful machine! – Great little machine, close cut and manages long grass with no worries, however, I found it really hard to start so would appreciate it if it came with push button start.

Purchased in for $650.

Incredibly useful machine – I purchased this trimmer to cut long grass and weeds. Some grass was about waist high. I’ve also used it along a paling fence line. It performs as well as advertised. Easy to start, and had no problems cutting into the long grass, which was a big damp also. I’ve previously used a handheld brush cutter for this, but the walk behind trimmer was so much more powerful, didn’t need line replacement every few minutes, and was physically easier for me. A great invention I reckon.

Cub Cadet Wheeled String Trimmer – Excellent trimmer! You can knock over an overgrown yard in 5mins Vs 20mins using a brushcutter. The only let down is it doesn't stay as clean as advertised, it throws quite a bit of grass back onto itself. A String Trimmer ideal for the tougher jobs The Cub Cadet Wheeled String Trimmer will save you time & effort when completing the tougher jobs or maintaining larger areas. It features:

173cc Kohler® XT Series, 4-stroke engine

56cm (22") cutting width/diameter ideal for tall, dense grass & weeds

Adjustable loop handle for comfortable trimming - also folds for easy storage.
