I just purchased Cuisinart ICE-50BCA, brand new. It works fine if I ran only a single batch. It will freeze reasonably well, even though it took longer than adverstised, about an hour. I fill only 2/3 of the volume. However, if I ran another batch immediately afterward, it will not freeze! There are some solids, but is still very runny. Does it suppose to behave that way? I have to let it rest for nearly a full day before I can use it again. Or, did I get a faulty unit? Thank you.

I would say you have a faulty unit. Give their customer service number a call and see what they have to say about it's performance... or lack of. You should definitely be able to make batch after batch and have it freeze for you. Mine takes about 40 to 45min to start freezing depending on the ingredients and I always hear the machine start to labor when it reaches that point and I then know it's time take it out and pop it into the freezer.

Let me know how you get on. :)

I agree with Roses66. When our machine was working it actually froze the second batch faster than the first and normally took about 45 minutes. The freezing time will depend partly on how cold your mixture is though. GOOD LUCK!
