Just far too slow to preheat – Hmmm… first use - it’s been “preheating” for an hour and still hasn’t made it to the required temperature. I really do hope the novelty of home cooked pizzas kicks in soon…

Should have bought one years ago – It takes a little bit of experimentation to get the timing and temperature right, particularly in this household as one us likes a thin base frozen base (Dr. Oetker Ristorante Quattro Formaggi) while the other likes a thick fresh base from a local specialist store. We solved that by cooking the first one at their recommended 220° for 10 minutes… Read more

and then upping the temperature to 280° and cooking the other for the same time and slightly longer when needed. The fact that once heated (it takes about 20M to get to the starting temperature and then another 5M for the higher temperature) you can just keep cooking more pizzas for others to enjoy is a great feature and the evenness that it cooks with means pizzas are better than any we can get locally. It's not all positive however. The stone will very quickly get burnt spots from overflow or flour and they are hard to scrape off (it can't be immersed) which means you get a little bit of smoke each time it's used but that's about the only downside. It does take up a fair bit of bench space but if you love pizzas then it's well woth the sacrifice.

Performs better than others double the price – I have had this oven for about 6 weeks and wow. It has blown me away. I previously had a natural gas oven, but I'm moving to an all electric house. I looked at the Breville pizzaiolo and the Ooni Volt 12, but the price was a huge turn off. I was sceptical that an oven with only 2000W element could get to over 700 F (380c) , but it does and… Read more ·  1

it's awesome. The accompanying peel is quite robust. I tried a few of the supplied dough recipes but they were a bit wet and hard to handle so I went back to my own recipes. I use it indoor and outdoors and stores easily on my pantry shelf once cooled. I would highly recomend.
