I booked a service for a Daikin split system air conditioner in an apartment in West Perth and a Mitsubishi in a home in Kewdale. Two technicians arrived at the West Perth apartment, took a few photos of the unit and told me it needed a major service which I need to book for another time. I was sent an invoice for $195 for the visit and was… Read more
told a major service was going to cost an additional $249, to do a deep clean.
On the same day, two technicians went down to the Kewdale property to service the air conditioner that was not cooling properly. They were on site for about 10 minutes, took a few photos, re-set the temperature from 27 degrees to 18 degrees and said the air conditioner was cooling well. One went to the outside unit for 5 minutes, told the tenant to clean the filter and left. I was sent an invoice for $195 and a note that a major service was required at a cos of an additional $249.
When I complained, the owner Lidia said that she had GPS evidence that the two technicians were on site at the Kewdale property for 16 minutes, which is the standard time for a service/diagnostic, and sent 4 photos of evidence that the work was done.
When I said that I was not going to pay the two invoices for $195 each, the owner said she would cancel the invoice for the West Perth apartment and said if "If you chose not to pay (for the Kewdale property) I will take this further to debt collection"
Decide for yourself if you want to deal with this company!!
Lydia was great. Organized initial service and then full service in one day turn around. The job done was professional and quick. Both units are operating better than ever. Couldn’t recommend DACs highly enough.
I had a urgent issue with a blown out isolation switch on our reverse cycle A/C. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. Thanks to Carmel who took my call and prioritised my job and to Trevor and Lachlan who attended site and rectified the issue.
******** UPDATE 4th Aug 2025 DACS attended my house and replaced my outdoor unit. They did a great job. the new unit is operating great, much quieter and using less power. They also moved the unit closer to the house which has improved the access down the lane, looks better and is protected under the eaves. *************************** Had DACS… Read more
replace our reverse cycle aircon unit. It cost over $12000. The install was sub optimal. Damaged ceiling, had lunch in roof cavity. Left food and drink cans sitting on top of unit in the roof space. Left brown sludge in a pool hidden inside insulation.. luckily i went into the roof space to inspect.
The next day after install, i complained about the excessive noise coming from the unit. It was about 2 times as loud as specs. The tech that visited said it was normal for the unit and it could go a lot louder than the 80DB that we were listening to.. basically any noise was acceptable according to DACS (that was my impression). It was significantly louder than my 20 year old unit that it replaced.
1 year later i was encouraged to call Mitsubishi Electric about the noise it produced by someone that had read my review and saw the video - he said i should have them investigate.
ME techs come out and straight away said it was too noisy.. over 80DB. They opened it up and found DACS had not removed the packing material from around the compressor that is there to protect it during shipping and transport. The compressor is still noisy and likely damaged from being run without proper airflow.
My 87 year old father recently had his 30 year old Daikin ceiling cassette Air conditioner break down and require replacement with a new system so he asked if I could help with the process as I had previously owned and ran an Airconditioning and Refrigeration business. Another family member recommended DACS as he had recently used them and had a… Read more
good experience. DACS assessed the Airconditioner and quoted to replace it with a new unit. I was happy with the quote and they installed a new Daikin unit a few weeks later. When I called him to see how the installation went he said "good" apart from two holes left in the ceiling as the new unit was smaller and didn't cover them. (see attached pic). I called DACS and asked why they didn't patch the two small holes and was told it was not in their "scope of works" and my father would have to arrange for this at his own expense. I had several conversations with them regarding the holes left in the ceiling and found the accounts/reception to be extremely rude and also screamed down the phone at me and then hung up. This went on back and forth for a few weeks until they eventually agreed to get someone to patch the holes which only took the guy 10 mins. I'm sure the ceiling repair was only carried out as my fathers payment was still outstanding, so beware and make sure the quotes "Scope of works" covers every tiny detail or you may get caught out.
Poison – Save yourself the trauma of dealing with this company. I made the mistake of getting a Mitsubishi air conditioner installed last summer and it was undoubtedly the worst experience I have ever had with any business. It appears to be a family run business and the main receptionist/ book keeper/ staff member thought it was ok to literally scream… Read more
repeatedly at me over the phone, yelling non stop when I requested that the penetrations be sealed which is what Mitsubishi recommends. Eventually with much hostility she agreed to send someone back and he sealed one penetration on the outside wall. The guy who came was lovely and I felt sorry for him working for those people. When I requested that both penetrations be done for the outside and inside brick walls, I was too traumatised to open the door to the person who came back to do the inside. They had repeatedly said that if I was to do this I would not be covered by the warranty. The problem is that I cant use my air conditioner without sucking in the smell from the neighour's chemical fragrances which are intense, coming out of their garage. The smell fills my house when I turn the air conditioner on. The company said that air conditioners don't work that way which I know. However they do have a fan which pushes air into the house through the penetration which is open around the hoses. Undoubtedly the chemical smell fills the roof area and the brick cavity wall so the smell is unmistakeable and sickening and drawn in via the fan.
