Dakin Premium Inverter absolute rubbish as it failed in less than 7 years – Crispair convinced us to buy an Daikin ducted air conditioner as it was a supposed to be a good ducted system and to also pay extra for the premium Daikin inverter. more parts when they repair it or that something else won't fail. Given the failure, I must say that the Daikin premium is an absolute rubbish air conditioning product and 10 year warranty is worthless when compressor fails. Replacement system is expected to be $8000+ (installed) with new manufacturer warranty so I can not see any benefit in trying to have it repaired. The Daikin inverter should have lasted at least double the time it has, given information about inverters. This was purchased in late 2017 so no supply issues but obviously just cheap parts sold at premium price. Daikin may have once been good but their Premium Inverter is rubbish as far as I am concerned which seems to be the case with other reputable manufactures who also produce rubbish products. They all keep reducing cost until the product is absolute rubbish and at the same time throw away their once great reputation for producing high quality products. Also if this failure was unusual or unexpected, you think the company offer some assistance to maintain its reputation but nothing

The outdoor unit is in the rear yard away from houses as I didn't want noise transfer, as the old unit was between houses
Three service calls and no solution to the compressor grinding noise from the outdoor unit from Daikin. Avoid their A/C units, Should have gone with the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries unit.
customer service – Have a ducted system 3.5 years old. Have mould in the caused by a hiccup in the automatic fan system. Daikin refuse to acknowledge problem in the a/c. Wont even return phone calls. Show details
Works well – Apon having this Daikin in unit installed. We find it is a perfect fit for my unit . It is so quiet and very t.v.v efficient. So all i can say is buy this unit. Show details
Daikin control panel is soooo hopeless! – I have a Daikin ducted air con and the control panel just soooooo annoying! Always not connected! I bought it because of its reputation and now I will definitely not recommend to anyone I know. Show details
Great air conditioner – This air conditioning is the best it has sooooooo many different settings you can have it freezing to really hot to cool but when it gets to the exact temperature it will automatically turn off it has a very flash outer shell the remote is a beautiful white and lights up a night over all this is a great air conditioner Show details
Extremely disappointing – We have had Daikin system installed 18 months ago. To put it simply, it isn't working and we are caught between the installer and Daikin. It has been over a week and the matter is unresolved. Daikin's response to my expression of dissatisfaction was "fair enough". The product and the attitude from Daikin needs to improve. Show details
Don't know how we survived without it – We had this installed as part of our new build. I really like the zoning and ability to control which areas are cooled. The ability to increase and decrease the fan speed is also very appealing I am yet to use the heating, although living in Queensland, this is not a massive requirement. Show details
Perfect climate – Had a split system changed to ducted. Premium is slightly dearer but oh man it is so quiet I forget its on. This cools my house quickly and is very efficient. I Have had ducted in previous homes that sounded like a helicopter taking off. This is a pleasant upgrade. Show details
Cools down the house quickly – we chose to have MyAir5 fully integrated controller to come with our Daikin aircon. The aircon is powerful, cools down the house very quickly, pretty silent as well. The fan function is also pretty powerful on days where you dont really need too much cooling down. The controller is great, able to control temperatures in different zone, able to control the temperature via my smart phone as well. Show details
