Dali Zensor 7

excellent mid price speakers – Great high end sound, excellent midrange and good base. I have them on their own as a stereo set-up for classical and jazz from a good Sony receiver, but they work very well with tv. Crisp vocals. Sound good at low volume to high, good stereo depth. I have them about 3 metres apart, about 50 cm from wall. They are unobtrusive given their narrow profile, but look very smart (I have them in black). Show details
Best speakers I've ever had – The sound these speakers produce is amazing I've never regretted purchasing them. Even at high volume, the quality of sound is exceptional. And mated together in a 5.1 Or 7.1 surround setup, it blows you away. I have the Zensor 1's for heights and back, the vocal center, and the Dali E 12F sub. For the price it's superb sound. If You Appreciate Great Sound – After about 15 minutes of A/B testing some speakers in a local JB HiFi store, I settled on a pair of Dali Zensor 7s. For the price (around $1500 from memory) I'm really, REALLY happy with their performance. I'm a longtime audio enthusiast - played in bands, did the solo thing and now in my older age just awful karaoke :) - so I've been around… Read more
speakers for three decades or so. These are set up in the lounge as part of a 5 speaker surround setup hooked into a half-decent Marantz unit with a not-very-expensive Jensen subwoofer providing some vibration goodness.
I can push the Dalis quite hard and they sound great even at high volumes. To be honest though I don't listen to my music much further than at, say, 50-70% capacity due to neighbours and the fact that it's plenty loud.
As I type this review, I'm cycling through Foxtel's various music channels, and every genre sounds terrific through these speakers. They're crisp, clear and give a nice representation of each artist's work.
If you went to an audio shop to test speakers between $1000-2000, you'll find these stand up to them all - and in my opinion, rise above. But as those of us who appreciate audio know, it's all in the listener's ears and their personal preferences. These receive great reviews from audiophiles and you can look up the technical details and performance data all over the internet. I'm merely providing a good, honest opinion of how they actually sound.
Happy shopping :D
