Flavourwave turbo oven – Cooks good but why is the light flashing on and off? Is that normal??? Can anyone help? Surely an easy fix??? Would like to keep rather than replace it! Thanks

Purchased in at Facebook Marketplace for $50.

Great Buy – While I agree somewhat with the earlier reviews regarding the manual - all it takes is a little experimentation, cook under and then adjust your times. FlavorWave is great for cooking pastries - this is mostly what I use it for, my microwave hardly gets any use, main meals in a conventional oven. FW is great for pies, beef wellingtons - the glass receptacle allows you to easily see how the cooking is progressing.

The downside is its size, but I am used to it - after having it for 3.5 yrs - and I have not had the problems of the temp/timer decal coming off when I clean it - u just need to be careful. I am sorry to see that they are no longer being made.

Use it frequently but? – The writing showing time and temperature wiped off when I wiped it down. This needs to be addressed as I only did it lightly but now have to guess the temp and time. Also need Australian cooking instruction book to be supplied with the oven. Whole chicken too close to the heat need instructions on how to overcome the top burning quickly before the rest is cooked. Very handy for grills and baked dinners, easy to clean Time/temperature writing needs to be cleaning proof

This was a complete waste of money – I bought a FlavorWave Turbo about 18 months ago and after attempting to use it lost interest largely because there was no proper cooking instructions. The manual (if you could call it that) was very pathetic and lacked detail. I was expecting to have received a decent cookbook and instructions showing cooking times etc but the info in the small booklet was not useful at all. As a consequence I just packed it up after about 3 attempts and forgot about it. Until this morning when I got it back out and thought I would go online and look for the cookbook (if it exists. Perhaps they just forgot to pack it in my box) but to no avail. The Danoz Home page has a link for the Manual so I thought this might be it, but it lead to a dead end. No book available. I left a message with one the the sales guys at Danoz who said someone from Customer Service would get back to me within 24 hours. Well let's just see if that happens. Failing that, if anyone else has actually got a Cookbook or proper instructions I would love to know about it. Perhaps this device still holds promise. But I strongly doubt it. Not much. No Cookbook or proper detailed instructions

I actually received a call back from Customer Service or some call centre acting on their behalf. The person I spoke to was probably just following a script and instead of adopting an appologetic approach when I told her I had not received any cook book in my box she took an agressive approach and put the blame on me for not complaining about it sooner, like within the ten day cooling off period. My response was that usually when you buy a product there is a list showing exactly what is supplied in the box which allows the customer to review the list and check off each of the items. Thus identify what is missing. In this instance there was no list so how was I to know I was missing the cook book. The only book I had was the manual. Which doesn't provide any cooking instructions. Hence my first complaint. I would have thought Customer Service would display a sympathetic attitude and just make an appology for the missing cook book and just send me one out free of charge but Oh no not this company. They stood firm and argued the point and would not budge saying "Well do you want the book or not? The cost by the way was only $12.00 and that made me even more angry to think a company would argue the point about $12.00. Surely to maintain a good reputation and have a customer on side (after all work of mouth recommendations are worth 10 times more that straight out advertising) would be of parramount importance to any company but not DANOZ. And when I mentioned that the person responded " Well if you think $12.00 isn't much what are you complaining about" I know it isn't much it's just the principle of it. The book was not included in my box when I purchased it so all I wanted was what I had already paid for.

Anyway I now have the book but I am so cheezed off about the whole thing I havn't brought myself to getting this cooker off the shelf yet to try some of the dishes in the book. Which by the way is not all that good. As far as cook books are concerned I would value it at about $3.00 to $5.00. It really is not a book. more of a pampflet or brochure about A5 in size.

When the bad taste from this whole experience has passed perhaps I will give it another go but that won't be any time soon and as far as buying anything from DANOZ DIRECT again well I'll leave that one up to you to guess. All I could add is once bitten twice shy.
