limited functions
I bought this about 6 mths ago as my built in large kitchen oven/grill blew a fuse & i don't want to pay for repairs as i am likely going to move house soon anyway. As some others have already said, this does not work too well on the grill function, the element heats very slowly & really doesn't get hot enough to do much more than grill a cheese sandwich. The air fryer tray has no drip tray so its not very practical on that function.
The actual oven function works very well though & heats up alot faster than my old oven. But it doesn't come wi...

Quality didn’t live up to the Sunbeam name
Received yesterday!!!.I bought Sunbeam over the other air fryers expecting a quality product. I'm sure the machine will operate ok, but highly disappointed in the internal finish and quality. Expected stainless steel or similiar lining and stainless steel shelves, basket etc, not cheap chrome plating and 2nd rate lining ,which will only chip or rust in the short term. Cleaning will be an issue, as unable to use oven cleaner or similiar .Why not baked enamal lining at least like regular ovens. Buying online you don't get to look at the product, and a big hassle to return. Won't buy Sunbeam again !!, very ordinary to say the least for the $200.00 purchase price paid..........Cheap and nasty!!
Dont buy it
For us...This air fryer is extremely limited. Chips cooked from start dont bother unless string fries. Crumbed Chicken bytes from start dont bother. Its just not hot enough. It cooks but food is soft and soggy. Unles so small its useless. My advice dont buy it go for something with a higher top temp than 200c. Its not a serious air fryer. Very disappointed...

Great for small spaces or quick and easy meals
There’s a lot to love about this oven. It’s compact so has no issues fitting into my apartment kitchen. You can cook a great meal without heating up the whole house which is a major plus in summer! I purchased this as I’ve had a number of airfryers but wanted something more versatile that still had the airfryer function. The great thing about this oven is that you can fit larger baking dishes than the standard airfryer. That’s a big plus for me as it was exhausting trying to hunt down tiny baking trays! Extra bonus points for being able to acco...
Read moremmodate more food which eliminates the need to cook in batches (standard airfryer problem). It also cooks much quicker than the average oven so saves heaps of time in the kitchen. Reheating food is amazing, especially for pizza! Not a soggy crust in sight. One of the reasons why I’ve given it four stars instead of five is that the airfryer function on its own just doesn’t quite match the quality of my previous standalone airfryers. However I’ve managed to get around this by cooking half the time on the convection oven setting, then the remainder on the airfryer setting and find this gives a similar result. I also find this a little harder to keep clean. Overall though my previous airfryers have stayed in storage which is a pretty good indication that I’m continuing to choose this one over those. I’m actually pretty impressed with this little super oven and would definitely purchase this or something similar again!Purchased in February 2020 at JB Hifi Home for $299.

Room for improvement
The oven construction is sturdy, nice clean design, however the handle is a bit sharp. Loved the ideas of having the air fryer function, on this function the fan noise is more then that of convection setting, using Apple Watch noise app it registered 60dBs. There will be backend exhaust using the air function. The cooking guide chart for air fryer is easy to use, the timing and temperature suggestion is on par to that of my Phillip Air Fryer.

Read morek from Coles. Cleaning is fairly easy with the baking tray; I used this tray for drip tray as well. On the negative side, there are: 1. No oven light 2. No thermostat light, so can’t really tell if the desired temperature been reach. 3. The cooking chart does not provide how much oil to be use.Purchased in June 2021 for $170.
Great oven....BUT!
Great little oven but sounds like a plane landing. Is this normal? If so why? Got it for convenience but wakes the household. Can someone please advise if this is normal

Average Air Fryer
I've had this product for around a month now. It does the job, but I don't love it and it has its frustrations.
Despite the large capacity you can't cook that much in it as you're limited to 1 rack and the squarish sized tray provided. For example, I can't air fry enough chips for my family. There is minimal space between the two rack heights so you can only use 1 rack at a time. The trays provided are quite flimsy so turning something heavy like a chicken feels risky. I've also found it difficult to find heavier trays that fit.
The most frust...

I wish I had spent more and bought a Breville!
So far I am not impressed with my new purchase. Despite following instructions, my frozen pizza burnt on one half. Obviously, I should have rotated it. A batch of cookies I made burnt because I was monitoring them with a torch through the glass in the door. If there was a light in the oven, I could have kept a closer eye on the cookies.
I always use baking paper on my trays and after cooking roast potatoes on bake mode, the paper was burnt black after 45 minutes at 200 degrees. Also, a word of warning about using baking paper. On another occasi...

Pretty good all-rounder
The Sunbeam oven + air fryer is a bit of a compromise between both functions, but it's an acceptable one for me. It's not as good an oven as some full-sized regular ovens, and not as good an air fryer as some dedicated air fryers. For example, it's obviously smaller than a regular oven; it's slower to heat up and harder to clean than my Kmart air fryer.
However it does work well as an all-rounder. Construction quality is decent, and it's a nice compact size if that's what you need.
About the only thing that definitely needs improvement is providing a "ready" indicator: the BT7200 does not indicate when it's heated up; you have to guess that it's reached operating temp or listen for the very soft 'click' of the temperature relay within.

Great little oven, plus!
Cooked chips, fish, chicken, veg, pizza and everything has turned out great! Good value for money and I would recommend it to family & friends, which is something I very rarely do. Does what it says and is easy to use. Some more recipes in the booklet would be better, but we will test our own and see how we go. Thanks Sunbeam for a great product.

Not as multi functional as expected
Air fryer function works fine. Grill function only heats the meat up. Had to revert to my old stove/oven griller to cook properly. Its a pity because I was hoping to stop using my stove/oven with this supposed multi functional appliance.

Great looks sturdy too and well made.I want to buy one for my children now.
I wonder how to clean the oven..Best way other customers have found. How to find recipes?. A book seems too costly.
I have cooked Roast turkey loaf and chips and wedges. All excellent!!!. Just need some recipes to learn more and build my confidence moreso please. Thankyou!

Great addition to the kitchen
We bought a Sunbeam multi cooker air fryer as our main oven went to appliance heaven. There are only the two of us and it is quite spacious for a small oven, can fit a whole chicken as well as veggies. Air fryer works well and have cooked the best roast pork with crackle. Have cooked the honey soy garlic chicken wing recipe that is included in the instructions too, very yummy..
Update:- June 2020
I have cooked Roast pork with the best crackling, whole roast chicken with spuds and pumpkin, dim sims, grilled cheese on toast, crumbed chicken, c...

Brilliant!
Purchased after reading reviews of different ovens/makes and I’m just loving it
I do prefer to cook pizza with air fry and it’s delicious. Pork had fantastic crackling
Only thing I would say is, the directions eg. to cook pizza with the pizza selection, it didn’t have which shelf to place it on.
Just a little more info with the recipes would be a help
But really love it

Hello avalea
SO glad your loving our Sunbeam Multi Function Oven + Air Fryer BT7200.
As for the pizza - best to me placed on the lower rack and raised with the wire rack to ensure a crispy base.
Wow! Thanks for the response. Appreciate it.

How do you get it to grill i have it set on grill and the top element doesnt turn on
