Don’t bother!! It’s rubbish – I have many delongi products and they are fantastic. I recently replaced my dishwasher with this delongi unit thinking it would be of the same quality, boy was I wrong. Most of our dinner plates don’t even fit, nothing can be touching or it comes out dirty. You always need to fully rise everting before it goes in, what a waste of water. It’s a… Read more

lottery each time you open the unit to see if it needs another cycle. Very rarely would the dishes and glasses be dry after completing the wash. Simply put this unit is crap and it’s a real shame as my faith in delongi quality has suffered after I held it in high regard.

BIG disappointment – Bought this dishwasher as part of our kitchen renovations 2 months ago and we are very disappointed. It is pointless using it, dishes come out still dirty, never dry, literally dripping wet, even after the long cycle. What a waste :/. Not too sure what our right are as only bought this such a short time ago.  Show details

No good for normal dinner sets – It’s a very quite machine.Don’t buy it if you have a normal dinner sets my two sets will not fit without hitting the rotation blade. It does give a very good wash but the circle takes too long.I think there should be a warning notifying customers the size of dinner sets the machine will take.Otherwise instead of buying a new machine you are also up for a new dinnerware.  Show details

Does the job – Decent little dishwasher. We didnt have a lot of choices for a dishwasher in this size, but this one does the job well. It is easy to use, fits enough stuff for the two of us and most importantly, gets the dishes clean. No regrets with this purchase so far.  Show details

Worst dishwasher I have ever owned – Does a reasonably good job of cleaning dishes and is not overly loud. I bought this slimline dishwasher about 3.5 years ago after buying a unit with a very small kitchen (it actually lives in the laundry adjoining the kitchen. Both top and bottom baskets are rusting through at joints and will soon be unusable. Extremely disappointed with this unit.  Show details

Small and compact – I bought this dishwasher from the Goodguys when renovating my kitchen last year. I bought it mainly because there aren't too many brands that have the smaller sized dishwashers. We do not really cook all that much so it is ideal for cutlery, plate and glasses. If you intend on fitting huge pans in it after cooking, they will not fit. It is meant to be compact.  Show details

Perfect Fit – I have a small kitchen and the Delonghi 45ss is a perfect fit, small on the outside but plenty of room on the inside, it holds large dinner plates, cleans exceptionally well, quiet, lots of features including time delay, half loads, short and long washes, looks good and is easy to maintain  Show details

Only HALF sized plates would fit! – We bought this nice looking Half size dishwasher to fit into our compact kitchen design in preparation of a new kitchen, which has only just happened. They didn't tell me you would need to have half sized dinner plates to make it work! The loading instructions were followed but the larger dinner plates are not going to miss the rotation of the… Read more

spray arm... a bit of an oversight DeLonghi (we still have to wash them by hand). I'd forgotten a bad purchase of the same brand a number of years ago when we bought a steamer iron. That thing had issues to do with the steam tank a part that kept corroding inside (the repair bills got too costly over the short life of the iron so we tossed it out, just sorry I'd forgotten about that. The design team must only work on the look of the product not the functionality. My suggestion would be to keep looking and don't rush in (as we did on this occasion), there must be others more serviceable out there. I would be happy to send DeLonghi images of the plates if it helps them design better :)

Don't Buy it's Rubbish – This machine is really bad wish I hadn't bought Delonghi brand. Cleaning capabilities very, very, poor - even plates do not come out clean on normal wash, usually need to hand wash items after going through cycle as it doesn't do what it is advertised to do. It doesn't dry at all on a normal wash - dishes come out dripping wet . Need to use heavy… Read more

load to get things dry enough to be put away. It is very noisy machine . Loading design is poor. Worst feature would be annoying alarm when door is opened - really !!! Purchased from Seconds World who have now refunded money which was good of them. No customer support at all from Delonghi. Strongly recommend you select another brand. This machine really shouldn't even get 1 star - deserves none it is rubbish.

Very poor customer service from Delonghi – The machine stopped working after 10 months. I thought Ok its under warranty. Mr Fix it arrived as an agent of Delonghi. He discovered there was no power to the unit, opened up the back and found a dead cockroach. I was informed Delonghi would not repair or cover the machine because the cockroach caused the power unit to fail. The Technician said… Read more

Delonghi dishwashers are a heap of junk and the support from Delonghi is atrocious.

I think this argument will go to the department of fair trading.

Very disappointed, as I bought 3 of these from the Good Guys, along with extended warranty.

Poor Design, Good Longevity, Pros And Cons – I had to buy a freestanding washer, as there is no convenient power to the place where I could rip out a cupboard and plumb one in. My friend, who is a fitter, kindly made me a frame so I could put it on castors to wheel it around. Why do dishwashers not come with wheel options these days? Company cheapskates... Modern tablets only dissolve on… Read more

the long wash - 2.5 hours - not good enough!

I find if I use a powder, I have to put a teaspoon of citric acid in with the wash, otherwise lots of residue, the bonus to this is the washer stays clean with the citric.

The dry function is a total waste of time, everything comes out sopping but you haven't the choice not to run it as the final drain only occurs AFTER the drying time, whoever designed it needs to do another job!

It's gone for five years without missing a beat, and rarely being cleaned.

I have recently discovered that the 1.5 hour rinse programme contains a wash function. It does well for a lightly soiled load with powdered detergent plus citric A. Surreal.

Washes ok, not outstanding, frankly the little benchtop I had did better. Doesn't actually take much for it's size, and sometimes I have to put it on three times. Cripes! The time investment!

There is no included attachment to attach it to a tap, so we had to install a dedicated washing machine tap into our sink, back to bad design but the Australian market is hopeless in providing alternate attachments with products, unlike Europe and the US.

I haven't had much problems fitting stuff in but it doesn't comfortably fit a normal dinner plate, even with the upper tray raised, it fits but it's close. Everything seems to be placed just a little wrongly but it's ok once you figure it out. Took me about 6 months. Can't wait to build our new house so I can get rid of it but I was and am glad of it because it beats doing cutlery by hand.

You can't recover the programme from an error message, you gotta start the whole cycle again - dumb. I have had this happen, as I have to turn the water off during the cycle to save busting my tap. If I don't hear it drain and turn the water back on in time - error message.

Wasn't worth the money, $800 with $109 extended warranty but the only option available at the time.

It really has lasted well, with no change in so-so wash quality. It's been good but I would not purchase anything Delonghi again. I inherited an oven and cooktop of theirs with this house and they're crappy.

Totally disappointing – We bought this dishwasher new from The Good Guys and it was a total waste of hard earned money. We can't fit normal plates in the lower rack without having to lie them over which significantly reduces how much can be washed in one load. The drying cycle is almost a waste of time and electricity. Very badly designed.

DeLonghi dishwasher total rubbish – Unfortunately didn't read the reviews on this page - my new dishwasher is absolute garbage - if I put normal size plates in the lower basket I cannot fit any stemmed glasses in the top basket as it will not clear the cutlery tray. I have literally just bought the dishwasher this week. NO POINT in contacting service department - my own fault for… Read more

not looking at the reviews about this absolute garbage. No option but to get rid of this rubbish and buy a decent dishwasher - SO ANGRY WITH DELONGHI AND MYSELF FOR BUYING THIS TOTAL RUBBISH!!!!

I had no intention of The Good Guys being part of this review as it is absolutely nothing to do with them - they were just part of the selling cycle.

Dirty DeLonghi Dishwasher – A dishwasher is meant to wash dishes. This DeLongHi doesn't. Dishes often come out dirtier with some sort of red mould or rust like stuff on them. The dishes are also never dry and the tablet often doesn't dissolve. Glassware is never clean and sparkly. Have tried many options / solutions none work. DeLonghi is a dud dishwasher.

Do not buy this – I just purchased this dishwasher and I already hate it before it's even had its first use! Sure the top drawer adjusts up and down but a standard sized plate won't fit under it when it's down and tall glasses/wine glasses won't fit when the drawer is lifted up. Regardless I shouldn't have to lift the top drawer up to wash a plate. I'll be taking this back. Poor design Poor design

Broke down after 10 months, replaced with a new one – It's good, but so disappointed that it did stop working after 10 months. I'm afraid that it may only last for 2 years and need to pay for repairs after that. Not a good buy coz I was expecting more for the price of this dishwasher. The repairman cannot repair it right away since he still needs to order the broken parts somewhere. So in short,… Read more

I need to wash the dishes by hands until the parts arrive.

Updated 6 Sept 2018. Delonghi replaced the broken one with a brand new one and it has been fine for 5 years now.

It only comes with 2 year warranty. Expensive.

Fantastic, love it!! – This dishwasher is fantastic. Its quiet (sometimes so quiet i dont even know its going) cleans dishes well and has a very easily adjustable top basket (no need to remove just clips up or down). we were limited with space unfirtunatly so not alot of choices for us. We originally purchased a Haier branded one in the same size but after 2 washes… Read more

we were so unhappy we talked to the retailer and they kindly let us take it back for them to use as a floor model so we could purchase this one.

We are so glad we didnt put up with it as this one is so much better. Digital screen counts down time remaining on the cycle, easily adjustable top basket height, quiet was more expensive
