Cord too short, can’t plug in anywhere – This toaster is incredibly disappointing. It looks great on my bench top, but since the cord is so short, it’s utterly useless. I can’t even plug the ridiculous thing in anywhere. For such an expensive toaster, you’d expect better. I’ve had to continue using my old toaster while this one just sits on the bench serving nothing but decorative… Read more
purposes. Delonghi have clearly cut corners and skimped on this toaster. Instead of making the cord a reasonable and functional length, they’ve put in their instruction manual that ‘the use of extension cables is not recommended’… Brilliant! That’s literally the only way I could possibly use this thing without having to rewire my kitchen.
Don’t buy – Purchased this toaster in Metallics Azure Blue. Looks great but toasts horribly. Only one side toasts correctly and other side of bread is not done. Would not recommend at all. I’ve tried normal white bread and crumpets - makes no difference. Still only browns one side. Purchased matching kettle and would not recommend this either, Extremely noisy when boiling water. Stay away from Delonghi Show details
Looks really cool – Makes a good bagel. Looks very nice in kitchen. I always get compliments from friends and family. Very easy for kids to use and defrost option is great too I Show details
looks nice, functions terribly – We bought this toaster as we felt Delonghi had a good name and it looked modern, to fit in with our new kitchen. it gets used about 3-4 times a week, but within a year, 2 of the sections don't toast and the other one only toasts one side. We have a 4 slice toaster and only get 1 good slice! It is going to be too expensive to fix and so it looks like it is going straight to landfill, which is a shame when you pay a higher price for something Show details
Great toaster! – Great toaster! Fits most slices of bread, cooks well and evenly. Nice red colour, I have the matching kettle and they look very stylish on the bench. Need to turn up to full and press twice for crumpets, but I have to admit I really like them well done. Occasionally it will flip the bread right out of the toaster (I think it’s funny) and has… Read more
never jammed or stuck to the bread in any way. I'm very happy, it's performed well and I find it very reliable. I do love my toast, and with the defrost & reheat buttons this has got me covered
Rubbish quality, inconsistent. My cheapie toaster from years ago is better – Here are some facts. This toaster fails to toast sides evenly, yet inconsistently. My cheaper ex-woollies toaster from 10 years ago is more reliable. My DeLonghi Kettle also failed inconveniently at 13 months old. I think the DeLonghi brand is one we will avoid from now on. Please don't buy. Show details
Underwhelmed for the price – We purchased based on aesthetics (and they do look great) and thinking delonghi was buying reasonable quality but are dissapointed. Toaster was okay for the first year or so before it started toasting inconsistently on each side of the bread and each slot. We have had about 3 years and 6 months or so ago one whole side blew, made a bang and no… Read more
longer works. I'm going to try smeg this time around and if the quality is no better I'll stick to brands like Breville and Sunbeam that are half the price and just as good if not maybe better quality. I also got a $2500 delonghi coffee machine and have issues with that too so I think they used to be decent quality but are cutting corners or something unless I'm extremely unlucky or maybe expecting 3-4yrs from an appliance these days is too much, but I bought a more premium brand expecting it to last longer then cheaper brands. Anyways I'm done with delonghi products and give something else a try.
