I bought this portable air conditioner brand new in 2023. It is quite loud even with the silent feature turned on, but you'll get used to it though. I suspect most portable air conditioner will be comparably loud, so I think people should manage their expectation in the noisiness of a portable air conditioner in general... I almost always wear a headset when I'm at my computer so it does help block out the noise.

I ended up not venting the hose out the window due to how the windows open (clam shell design), so there would be large gap if I try to install the vent out the window. I resigned to venting it out of the bedroom door to the hallway which means I cannot close the door fully. I suspect this is impacting the ability to effectively cool the room a lot.

However it is adequate for what I need, unless it is really hot day (e.g. during heatwave). There are maybe 1-2x instances throughout the past 3 years where it refuses to cool down, but somehow it fixes itself eventually. The condensate recycling works well and I barely need to remove any excess water (and when I do there's only small amount)

I found the intake inlet hard to clean up (there's 2 of them, one at the top where you can remove the covering and filter, and one at the bottom). The bottom air inlet is hard to clean unless you want to dismantle the plastic body. I generally just use vacuum cleaner to try to clean it as best as I can.

TL;DR Overall decent portable A/C, especially if you can vent it out the window as it is originally designed for. It is noisy, but is probably about the same as other similarly sized machine. Relatively easy to maintain and so far has not broke down on me. Adequate cooling, but may struggle during heatwave. Best for small bedroom, probably not strong enough for the open living room.

Purchased in at The Good Guys Physical store for $800.
