I’ve had mine going for about 8 hours all up, how long until the water tank fills? Coz it’s not full at all what am I doing wrong?

I've had mine for more than 10 years and the tank has never been full. It should evaporate unless you are running the humidifier constantly.

The water collection tub is either full or not inserted properly

I also have an FE code popping up after 10 seconds of cool air. The PACT100 worked for 5 years perfectly well, then not used for the past 10 years, now when the FE it appears that the compressor will not commence! Is there a particular sensor that can be located for the water tank's correct insertion. I believe that all is ok but I get this FE, can it be something else?

How to get new outlet tube for pact105

Kevin E.

Hi, we just bought a second hand pact120eco, unfortunately, when we transported it home, it was put on its back. Now we have a TF code, and it will not turn on, and none of the buttons work. Just flashes the code. Oops , did we stuff it? Or is there a easy fix.? Ta Kev.

There's no TF error code mentioned in the manual but in troubleshooting, it says that if the unit does not come on, the causes/solutions are as below: 1. There is no current - Solution: Wait 2. It is not plugged into the mains - Solution: Plug into the mains 3. The internal safety device has tripped - Solution: Call the Service Centre. It could also maybe be that there was water inside the unit somewhere that, when laid down, has affected circuitry? Self Diagnosis error codes are: Lt = Low temperature (Frost prevention) - Unit will restart after defrosting. Ft = Full tank - The tank at the back needs to be emptied or the drain hose is not connected properly. PF = Probe failure (damaged sensor) - Contact service centre. F1 = Failure 1 (pump failure) - Contact service centre. (I've cleared this one by turning off at the mains, unplugging then restarting) Hope this helps.

How do I find out what the display means ie f2? When I have now lost the manual

Wendy M
Wendy M

I have the manual for the Series T PAC, but there's no reference to F2. Ft = Full Tank (water tank is full and needs to be emptied). F1 = Failure 1 (pump failure, try turning off at wall and turning back on. Otherwise locate a repairer to check). It might be referring to filter. The 3M filter should be replaced each season and the mesh cleaned regularly ideally but I got away with vacuum cleaning mine a few times per season for a few years.

What is F1 display?

Wendy M
Wendy M

According to Self Diagnosis in the manual, F1 refers to Failure 1 (pump failure) and recommends contacting your local authorised service centre. A quick search online when mine did this revealed that turning it off at the wall, rest 30 secs or so then turn back on will reset this. It worked for mine after a few attempts.

No they don't need water or anything else added to it

Does this unit still work without a window kit?

You need to vent the hot air to the outside, so you definitely need the thick hose that connects to the back of the unit but you don't need the actual window kit piece with the hole cut out to hold it in place. Our hose that sends the air outside is secured with the window frame pressing on top and towels around the other gaps to secure it and keep the cool air in.
