What I'm guessing is a refill symbol won't disappear even after I've put water in it? How many litres does the system hold because I'm possibly not putting enough water in. I think maybe the level gauge has dried up and is now stuck as it won't move!

What is the air-condinor mode look like

Lee

I haven't used my portable air con for about a year and now when I start it up, it runs for about three minutes in air con or smart mode then starts to squeak and then vibrate and make a bit of noise and then says to full water tank however,, the water tank is full. help, what should I do? call an expert or throw it out as it's about 7 years old now. probably only had 100 hours use though.

Don’t know if you ever fixed this? But likely the small solenoid located at the bottom right hand front of unit. It gets jammed up with build up and won’t open to let water into the lower tank

Dear Lee, Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your portable air conditioner. It sounds like the problem might be related to the water drainage system, as mentioned by Dylan M. A build-up in the solenoid could be preventing the water from draining properly.

To resolve this, we recommend checking for any blockages or residue that may have accumulated in the drainage area. If the issue persists, we suggest contacting an authorized service centre to get the unit checked, as the problem may require professional attention.

We appreciate your feedback and hope the issue can be resolved quickly. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Kind regards, De'Longhi Customer Care Team

My Penguino6 ran great as an A/C. Love it! But now that I am heating with it, it produces about 8oz of water per hour of use. I do not have high humidity, and I typically have it run off and on about an hour or two per day (just to take the chill off). Water will not drain from upper drain, only lower. I had to elevate it 5" just to set up a container that the small hose could drain into. I don't want to use a dehumidifier, just the heating element. It is way to risky to leave the heater on because it has flooded my floors twice already with minimal use...if there is a way to run the heater without water production...PLEASE let me know...‍

DeLonghi

Hi Sherry Here is the description from the manual HL = TANK FULL Empty the internal safety tank, following the instructions in the "End of season operations" paragraph. If this reoccurs, contact your local authorised service centre. In heating mode, attach the condensate drain hose

Also here is the link to the manual for the other descriptions mentioned. external link

It look like most of us have done this. Extension piece does not fully drain it. Mine only trickles, still feels full internally but I can't see a way in side. I plug it back in 2 hours later its at HL an turning off again. I'm trying to use my heater on it. I've had it 5 years, ususally I can go several months in between HL warning. my wall heaters don't work, very frustrating.

Hi, I have the PAC W160B model that is about 4 years old. When you first start it up its good, then after about half an hour it makes this thump noise and starts blowing warm air. It blows warm air for about 15 - 20 minutes, then it starts blowing cold air again for half an hour and stops again, so on, so on. Is it meant to do this, or does it have a problem and how much to fix. Thanks
