The water drips from valve behind the unit. Is this normal or should I let it drip out to the window too - using a longer hose?

Hi, We have door closed and usually have a window open. But that is probably how we always had the room. Our room is average size and the ac keeps it cool efficiently. The only real challenge is noise, it's really noisy.
