20. Jams are easy to clear - the lever does not work, you have to undo the two screws next to the yellow depth dial. This takes about a minute. There is a safety catch but it is not intuitive, its symbols are confusing, and it lacks a red band to indicate its state (all other dewalt tools have this feature but not this one). It is a bit heavy. It is sensitive to battery voltage and does not like working when the battery is down to one bar. I have a lot of dewalt tools and I enjoy all of them, but not this one. I hate this one because it is such a time waster having to unjam it so often. I would give it zero stars, but it does work fine on the longer nails of 90mm.

the nails into my Hitachi/Hikoki and Paslode. No problems. Try to talk to tech support, got through to nobody. No wonder the red rivals and orange rivals are kicking yellow butt.

Not as good as other options out there – It's good on new construction with soft pine, I have nothing against it. It fire every single time, I never had a misfire. I like the fact that if something in the firing mechanism goes wrong you can simply replace the spring inside. No compressed gazes inside, almost maintenance free. asked. Compare to Paslode with the maintenance, the gas, the cold start issues, this has none of the drawbacks except one. Try to work on mixed woods, and yes I know the limitation on hardwood is 63mm nails but the only size available is 65mm!!!! So in my mix hard and soft tacos, I mean wood, I was thinking I might get away wit 75mm since I have 35mm of soft and 45mm of hard wood, technically speaking it's only 40mm of hardwood that you have to go through, and that' if you go perpendicular, since most of the time I angle my nails it's probably the same amount on each wood. Anyway, results is that at max depth I can't sink my nails completely, I always have to hammer the last 3-4mm. It might not be an issue if I was working on flat ground where I have the room to swing and drive it home in one blow. But in most cases I am under a house, on my back with very little room for comfort. So hammering in a very small area I have to hammer them in more than once, all that isn't a pleasure or a time saver. Other brands don't have that issue (Hikoki), and for the price you pay I should have gone that route. Because I already have Dewalt tools and most of the reviews are to be fair good in general I thought it was a good investment. As stated before, on new construction it will work fine but as soon as you have hard wood to be honest it's a let down. My other complaint is the size of the mag, impossible to fit 2 clips, but the worst part is that it's only missing a few cm to be able to fit 2 full one. Only Milwaukee has the extended mag and most other brands are smaller with 47 nails, with 55 nails you can reload mid clip and you never run out. talking about runout, the dry fire works well so you know when you are out. I don't think the rev time is that of an issue, since I like to position my strike correctly the 1-2 sec it takes to wind up isn't an issue for me. If I am in a rush, I use the bump mode and it just fire as soon as it engages with the wood so no excuses. Overall it's a good unit for new construction but if you do reno on old houses don't go for this one.
