Concerned and quality – I have a bottle of Diggers White Spirit which has been sitting on the shelf for years. I notice that it has separated into two distinct liquids, one clear and the other slightly yellowed. This should not happen.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse.

Surface cleaner – Have used Digger surface cleaner for a long time , loved it and recommended it to friends BUT......... I don’t know what on earth they have done to it recently but it absolutely stinks. Makes us feel sick and headachey .......disgusting stuff......flushed it down the sink and I’m back to Windex and Mr Muscle. Why the change???. If it ain’t broke...don’t fix it!!

Leaves a strong kero smell – I had a bottle of Diggers white spirits that I used for cleaning stains from clothes and it worked well. When it ran out, I went and bought more and have found that this lot smells more like kerosene and leaves a strong kero smell in my clothes. White spirits (aka dry cleaning fluid) is not supposed to leave a smell in your clothes like this. I used it on a jacket and have had it hanging outside for a week and can still smell the residue. I suspect that Diggers might have changed the recipe - for the worse! Unfortunately they seem to have cornered the household chemical/solvent market here in Perth, so it is impossible to find an alternative. I contacted Diggers (Recochem) via their website contact page, but as yet they have not bothered to reply.

White spirits is a great dry cleaning fluid – This is the old 'dry cleaning fluid' and is great for removing stains from expensive suits, furniture and clothing...a far cheaper option than expensive dry cleaning bills...last week my local dry cleaner wanted $30 to clean 2 suits...no way, suggest you test in a small area first, hang outside, undercover to air thoroughly when finished... Easy to use and cheap
