Mine, and my neighbours DVEVP6, the cool function keeps turning off after 50 seconds and beeps 10 times. I've tried flushing and replacing with clean water several times, I've tried turning it off and on again, I've done the 'fast water level detection function' but nothing helps. I've been using the unit for a couple of weeks now, and this happened once before and eventually resolved itself, but now it seems whatever I do the cool function doesn't work.

It's the floater stick that's located on top that doesn't pop up and causing it to beep and turn the cooler mode off . Must be some sort of algae or something that stuck to it to pump out the water.I found the solutions thru Yotube. Just use a butter knife to pop it up manually and now the beeping is gone and it works perfectly.

I just bought this a few days ago. Is it supposed to blow hard then stop then blow hard every few seconds?

My DCEVP20 is turning the cool / humidify off all the time. The water tank is full. It turns off after 50 or so seconds and beeps. The manual says this happens if the water tank is not full enough. The tank is full. Please help.

Hi Julia, thank you for reaching out to Dimplex, It could be that the pump paddle has been moved up too high and as such, no water is able to be pumped out. please refer to page 8 of the manual for further instructions on how to fix this. please send me your email address if you need a copy of the manual or further clarification thank you

Similar to other respondents my unit keeps turning off the cooling button after that 2 minutes, what can I do other than turn it back on again?

I have been using the DCEVP6 as a cooler for a while with no problem. Recently, even when shut off, with the screen going all dark and flaps going down, it will still continue to blow unless I pull the plug. What can I do to fix this?

Hello Leo S The evaporative portable cooler that you are referring should shut off completely when the “OFF” indicator is activated. Please note that within the 24 month warranty period offered on the product, you are able to return faulty product to the store for replacement (as long you can verify purchase details by showing original invoice).

Outside of this 24 month warranty period, you can contact an air conditioning repairer in your area and have the unit accessed.
