We purchased 2.4 9 fin and 1.5 4 fin models over 10 years ago and are still happy. The 9 fin model is great for living area while 4 fin perfect for bedroom even set on level 1 with thermostate set on less than half. We tried new ceramic and radiant convector but appreciate the quiet economical eco copper coil oil free model. We used them in Otago, Christchurch and Southland which get pretty cold Show details · 1
Great efficient affordable heater – Extremely impressed. It heats up very quickly and the fan helps distribute the heat around our large room (40 sqm). I am comparing to an Anko brand 2.4kW heater we bought a year ago, and it had good reviews, but this Dimplex one runs rings around that. The fan is very quiet and I find once the room has heated up I can turn it down to its minimum heating setting (700, 1400, 2100W) to maintain the temperature. Show details · 1
Warms well but the fan is too noisy – I bought the version of this heater which has a fan and a timer. Honestly, I never figured out how the timer works. It's designed for a rocket scientist. The fan does not really do much except it blows a bit of the air sideways. But god it's noisy. When the fan is on the heater makes a massive, loud and annoying noise. I can only stop the noise by putting my foot on one of the heater's legs. Show details
Impressive – Dimplex' 7 warranty is what attracted my attention at first. It's ability to heat my 9x8mtr insulated living area (on high - 2400kW setting) from 15c to 22c impressed me further. Outdoor temperature = 7c in QLD. After my 2x HELLER 11 column oil heaters expired by going up in smoke (literally) in my presence, I resorted to an OIL FREE Heater… Read more · 1
concept. And while the ECR24 does not have a timer compared to the Heller heaters, I do not find this to be inconvenient, as I prefer to be home in-case appliances such as heaters catch fire or malfunction. Personal usage = 6 - 11 hours a day when needed
[+] 7 year Warranty Handles are on both sides - Genius! Handles are positioned high for tall persons Sufficient heating for my requirements Heat emits from top No/minimal heat to flooring e.g. carpet No smell [-] Low setting 800,1600kW is poor for a 3x3mtr (bed)room.
Perfect for purpose – I bought this heater to replace a very old Dimplex oil column heater. I use a portable heater like this to add extra warmth to the room I am in. The central heating is set to a relatively low temperature in order to save energy. This new Oil Free heater performs very well. It heats up a room very quickly. It's much lighter than the old oil column… Read more · 1
heater and therefore, easier to move it around the house. Dimplex provides a 7 year warranty on this product which I think is pretty amazing. Highly recommended.
Nice little heater – Perfect for our needs here on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. Never really gets cold during the current winter time but if we need it in the day time we leave in passageway in middle of home and it provides sufficient heat. At night we move into our bedroom but never need to have on too high. Show details · 1
not much heat – the oil free heater might be eco friendly but does not do it's job in heating even a small room sorry but i would not recommend it needs to generate more heat Show details

This style of heater is best – I have had 2 of this style of heater for many years, both Dimplex. Sure it will take about 10 minutes to warm up, but once warmed up it has a huge surface area to heat your room. I use a fan heater to break the chill initially for 10 minutes, but once the chill is gone, the old heater keeps the room nice and warm. Fan heaters are expensive to run,… Read more
and people make the mistake of leaving them on and forgetting about them. If you have a large living room you should consider having a hinged partition to reduce the size of the living room, with less space to heat. he old style Dimplex knocks itself off and on when the required heat is achieved. Once the desired heat is reached you should turn your heater down to a moderate heat. Having the room too warm is not healthy, it drys the mucus in your air passages. https://www.google.com/search?q=dimplex+style+heaters+image&oq=dimplex+style+heaters+image&aqs=chrome..69i57j33.13099j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
