Save your money – Waste of money. I bought this heater as it was 2000kw with 2 heat settings and it had the added optiflame realistic look. So disappointed with it. I sit 1.5 metres from the heater and can't feel any heat at all. There is no difference between the 1000 and 2000 settings that I can see/feel. It has a thermostat but even on high setting it never reaches a temperature where the thermostat cuts in.

I wrote to dimplex and this is their reply -

"This heater is designed for supplemental heating only and is more for aesthetics.  The heater only gives out about a meter or so of radius heat and will not heat a large room".

So if you are after warmth, save your money. No-one wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a heater that doesn't heat and just looks pretty.

May 2025 - update on my review. Dimplex has been in contact with me and has assisted me with the purchase. Not to say the product has changed but at least they were willing to make amends even after 12 months, kudos to Dimplex.

Purchased in for $350.

I researched quite a bit before I purchased this heater so was extremely disappointed with it and the response from Dimplex. I rang Dimplex when I first purchased the heater and was told to return it, however it was purchased on ebay and came from Melbourne (I am on the Mid North Coast of NSW) so I was unable to return it and even if I could it would most likely be massively expensive to do so. I just put it down to a lesson learned, don't believe the dimplex hype.

Loved it – Bought it at May 2022, a couple of weeks ago it started to go/stop all the time, Reason the thermostat was not working anymore, it seems just 2 months after the warranty expired, there is no thermostat available, I’m very disappointed.
