DJI Air 2S

DJI Air 2S – Have just started using the product and so far it is very good. Very intelligent machine with a good video quality and incredible stability. The setup is fun and easy to do. Controller is excellent.

Very clever drone easy to fly, sad it didn't last long – I had my DJI Air 2 drone given to me as a gift from family and friends overseas. Amazing to have such good friends! It was shipped to me in Australia as a birthday gift. After numerous flights and not quite mastering it, I never had a crash or issue, so in this regard well done DJI. However, one fine day whilst flying the controller became nonresponsive? Lucky for me the RTH function worked and the drone returned to base. When it became clear the controller had malfunctioned and was not going to work again, I learned a great deal more about this product. I then learned that the warranty period is an amazing 15 days? Well, that was no use as I didn't open the box until 20 days after receiving it. Additionally, it appears from reading further, as it was purchased online at DJI directly overseas it is not covered at all here in Australia so lucky I did not sign up for a care package. Needless to say, my only option has been to buy another controller (fingers crossed). Not really ideal but neither is the 15-day warranty which in reality tells all. To me, this says our expensive products are not as good as they appear or the company would cover them for longer.

Great drone but slightly overpriced – The only thing that I like about the drone is the larger 1 inch sensor, ADSB (alerts you to any aircraft nearby that have a ADSB transponder fitted) and the ease of fitting filters to the drone’s camera. Flight time I get about 25 minutes, photos are ok, better than the Mini 2 but could be better for the price that is paid for it! Can be out of focused in parts of the photo away from the centre.

While doing 360° panoramas, you cannot continue flying or slightly move the sticks on the control while it is saving! You must wait until it is done or the panorama will fail to save!

The basic version of the Mavic 3 might be a better value once it’s features are released in 2022.

Dji Air2S, Complete disappointment – S2 is a complete disappointment! The video is rubbish. The unit was purchased to gain some decent video. Save your money, and purchase a drone with better features. It’s a toy and should be sold as such. The hype around the Air 2S is inaccurate dji. The Air 2S provides rubbish video footage. Invest your cash is a better quality drone. Poor effort DJI. Poor effort in over selling the Air 2S!
