Hi Teresa,

Wow! I’m sure it’ll capture great footage for kitesurfing.

Note - This is a very light drone. Less than 249g, and gets pushed around, even in moderate wind but the gimble does a great job stabilising the footage.
I’d say, anything above 18-20 knots max, even then, you should be careful. Above 21 knots, probably unsafe for it. It will warn you if it’s too windy too, so that’s helpful.

I believe the upgraded DJI Mini 2 has slightly stronger motors so that may also be a good option for you.

Although this has up to 30mins flight time, flying against wind puts pressure on the motors and will run the battery out faster. This also applies when you use sport-mode (max flight speed of up to 46kph).
Rest assured, the battery does have a time indicator that counts down and adjusts depending on how you’re flying it.

Hope that helps :)

Cheers,

Mat

I also have an other question is there a big difference between the mavic mini and the mini 2 ?
If so which one would you recommend for kitesurfing footage ?
Thank you !
