DJI Mavic Platinum Pro

now in the bin – bought a mavic pro platinum , broken out of the box took it back - sent off for repairs 4+months later got it back - more issues ruined my phone when connected to remote took it back to shop 4 months later told it was my issue 8months+ of hassl ,Harvey Norman and DJI didn't offer new 1, Harvey Norman didn't care drone now in bin, im out $3000+ including phone don't buy into this trap

Was my dream – 2 month when I purchased from Harvey Norman Im just beggars start getting experience every day start learning a lot of things specially shooting photos and video very easy to use all you need to watch some YouTube before start flying it fun I love it

Great but fragile – I bought this drone with the fly more package. I have had this drone for 18 months. The gimbal recently failed and the forward vision sensors would not calibrate. It was warranted by product care and replaced. In high winds it can be a bit unstable but the control warns you when the wind is getting to much. The camera is good for its size and it's extremely easy to fly. YouTube and the DJI app both have very good tutorials. Overall it is good value and a good beginner drone for a novice drone pilot.

Great portability and quiet – Having owned the larger Phantom Pro 3, I have had 2 major issues with this drone when compared to the larger more exxy cousins: 1 - Stability in strong winds: definitely not as secure in its position as the Phantom 2 - image quality: to be expected given the much smaller sensor etc. In saying that, portability is insane. So much easier to travel with, which i do alot of!!! Comparing the larger shell backpack for my Phantom to either the small satchel from DJI that came with the fly more package or even just chucking it in a bag... there is none really.

Noise is noticeably reduced with the "Platinum" version props and motors!!

Couldn't fault it, use it more than the phantom, but in precarious weather situations i do tend to revert to the Phantom.
