Dorf Flickmixer Sink Mixer

Poor product – 3years old and has corroded and leaks from the spout chrome arm seal and must be replaced. Expected at least 10 years life given the $150+ purchase price and Dorf reputation. Disappointing for such an expensive tap. Would never buy another Dorf product. Show details

3rd Dorf Flickmaster tap - same leak issue – I have purchased 3 Dorf Flickmaster taps over the past 10 years from Bunnings. All have failed with the same fault - a pin hole develops in the chrome arm and it sprays water from the side every time you turn on the tap. Show details

Not worth the money due to integrity of steel/chrome coating – I agree with everything that David Bishop has reported. Unfortunately poor product but good follow up customer service. This happened to me twice with the same product (!) and Dorf has replaced it both times - both out of warranty (!). Sad to report that my third Flickmixer has just experienced the same issue - I have two small holes in the chrome on the side of the arm and water leaks every time the tap is used.

Dorf flickmaster for $152 thinking, as the product claims, that I'd have a good quality product for many years to come. But about a week ago we noticed a leak had developed in the spout, near where it joins to the main tap housing. A small piece of chrome had come away. I guess this had happened due to a fault in the brass and the water forcing the chrome away. I seem to remember that Dorf taps were once made in Australia but it seems not anymore. This one is made in China. I guess I query why Dorf can't still make them in Australia because we would have better standards here and Chinese products are not known for their quality. I don't mind paying a bit more for a better quality product and if it were made here in Australia, employing Australians- well that would be fantastic!

So anyway, I rang Dorf to see if they would back their product up. I wasn't that confident after reading some other reviews about Dorf. So I was pleasantly surprised when the guy on the other end of the phone said to email a copy of the receipt and also a photo of the tap if possible and they would send me a replacement in the mail. So quick smart I did what he said and hey presto two days later the courier delivers a brand new tap. Well heaven only knows how long this one will last but at least Dorf have done the right thing and should be thanked for that.
