Will fade clothes – Do not use!!! This product completely ruined my daughter's school dress. Some colour ran on the white collar so I treated using this product and it didn't fix the collar, instead it completely faded the entire dress. It is awful, now I'm off to the uniform shop for a new dress! Photos attached of before and after. Show details

Dr Beckmann Colour Run Remover Fail – Patch test first - this treatment absolutely ruined my favourite pair of pants. Followed directions as per packaging. (Later discovered the advice to patch test on side of carton) immediately turned my tan pants pink. Despite several washes afterwards, colour remained. Show details

Fake advertising ….. bleaching the fabric… – I am extremely disappointed with the recent product . My beautiful clothing was completely wrecked, and I am furious about this. times previously “colourfast” are now light grey. Blacks are tie died. Clothes could have been saved with vinegar but I thought I’d be careful. Using this product has cost me hundreds of dollars. Given the other reviews I don’t understand how this is on the shelf in Australia. Will be lodging a complaint with ACCC.

Buy this if you want to ruin your item, and keep the colour run intact – Washed an expensive quilt cover I’d had for 18 months (with a colour run from a rogue pillow case) in this so called “colour run remover”. Followed directions exactly- ran wash cycle for 15 mins on 60°c before adding sachets with 2 litres of water. It looks like I’ve thrown bleach directly onto it. bleached beige patches. Wasted money by buying this product, plus the cost of the quilt cover, which was over $200. Also, the colour run stains are still visible on the inside of the quilt, so I’d recommend avoiding.

However, this time, following the packet directions exactly, the new formula granules have completely removed the blues and pinks in the print leaving an ugly yellowy-mustard colour, after only 1 hour of soaking. I have sent complaints to Polished Brands and Woolworths with no success This is completely unacceptable. This product needs to be withdrawn from sale.

to find the blue completely stripped away. It's now an awful mustard and yellow dress. It was a designer one-off dress that can't be replaced. I now wish I had just put up with the slight colour run than the abomination this product has turned my dress into.

This product really needs to put more warnings on its labelling.

said in the instructions. Came back in the morning and it completely ruined the coloured polo, bleaching it, also stripped the colour from the pyjamas. It did remove the dye from some white singlets though (they were originally white) but this essentially just bleached the clothes. I thought perhaps I left it too long so tried it on a shirt I'd forgotten with the same navy blotches and left it for a few minutes. No. This just bleaches everything. They say 'test for colourfast' so it appears it only works for colourfast items (how many clothes these days are colourfast anyway? And if they are, wouldn’t they repel dye?) Terrible product.

Stick with Dylon, this product doesn't work and bleached colours – I always buy Dylon colour run remover but CBD Woolworths stopped stocking it and only has this more expensive product. I followed the complicated instructions to soak it in a container with a lid overnight, because the red colour run remained after 4 hours. Washed with clean water and dried, only to find the bright red stripes are now orange and white parts still have pink spots. It is a waste of money.
