appointment was made - three weeks later. After following up 8 days after the quote was due. I was told again that they would not repair - again. 6 weeks wasted.
Quoter and installer great but office process needs some work! – The fence is perfect and the people that quoted and installed were both lovely. I had some trouble with the paperwork side of things; an onerous and confusing quote acceptance, needed to redo the forms because "white" (there is only 1 white fence option) wasn't specific enough, and I had to chase them when installation dates blew out. able to provide this feedback directly to the company because the feedback form they sent didn't work. The whole experiencewould be much improved with better customer service on the operations side of things.
Unprofessional – Got measured and quoted (by them) for fencing / partial fencing on 3 boundaries a couple of months ago. There were 3 complete panels left over, both paid for in materials and erection costs and currently sitting in my yard. Told next opportunity for a quote was in 28 days but needed to respond to the email they would send immediately or I'd lose my spot, still waiting for the email. Installation was quality work, measurements and office staff incompetent and arrogant. Left over panels pictured.
Very helpful in advice on supply – I have to say i tried to call 3 other fence suppliers of colourbond in Sydney. 2 of them wanted me to just leave a message!?!? I called 3 branches as I wasnt sure of where I would pick up the product from all 3 branches were helpful. Admittedly I knew what I wanted. When i got the branch. The guy serving me was slow and methodical....but ultimately helpful. I would use these guys in a heart beat and they had it all in stock
Unprofessional and Rude – Got a quote but didn't get the SMS reminder due to problem with my phone. Because I didn't reply to automated SMS the appointment was cancelled. No phone call whatsover. assured again. However the day before I get a phone call but no Automated SMS to reply to. Quoter comes out measures the fence line I have to hold the tape for him. No electronic measuring device not even straight line. Wraps tape arounnd 5000 lt Water Tank instead of along fence line. Makes job longer than required. Only mentions removing 500mm of vegetation from side of fence nothing else.
Quote received now stipulates that I must engage a licenced service locator at my own expense despite there being a free service www.1100.com.au. I am quoted $415 for this service by Suresearch on the phone. This is despite this was never a requirement when they installed the other side fence on 2020. I rang their office for an explanation (it says on the quote to call their office not the quoter if I require further assistance) and to see if the free service would suffice. I spoke to a very rude female employee [Name Removed] who spoke in a patronising tone claiming she knows nothing about this requirement and can't help me and I must call the quoter. She repeated this after each time I asked for an explanation. She said "I wasn't there when he did the quote" and was very defensive. I hung up on her but then she rang me back to yell at me for hanging up in her!! says "How dare you hang up on me!!" This person is apparently the "Installation Coordinator" Needless to say I won't be proceeding with the quote due to way they have not been transparent about extra expenses and rude manner. Be aware the cost of your fence may be several hundred dollars more with this mob due to the onerous requirements and they won't do this search for you even though there is free service online.
NOT PROFESSIONAL WHATSOEVER – Cardiff contractors came to do the job awhile back , The more I look at the job the more cranky & frustrated I get thinking we gave this company money !! Why didn’t they tell me I needed more sleepers?? … USELESS…Should of got someone that knew what they were doing!!
Great service work . Need nicer receptionist – I give five stars to the workman ship and service . From Dunn Farrugia . But the woman at reception needs to get some people's skills in customer service . She is so rude .
Mistake after mistake. Left with mismatch picket fence – I cannot recommend Dunn & Farrugia Fences and Gates. From what I experienced their Workmanship, Quality Control, and Communication are sub-standard. They did not supply what I ordered, and I am left with a mismatch fence. the end of each panel giving a concave effect. The order was placed with their Minchinbury facility. 4-weeks later I received a phone call (from Amez Bricklaying?) saying the panels were ready and to pay the balance before delivery. I asked for their bank account details and followed up with emails. No response was received so phoned their Penrith office 5-days later to get the bank details (given verbally) and paid the balance. The panels were delivered on 29-October, 5-weeks from order placement. Then I discover one panel was 500mm short. I emailed them with this fact the next day, requesting replacement. The replacement panel was received 6-weeks later, on 10-December. This is now 16-weeks since placing the order. Apart from their emailed quote, nothing was received in writing from them, no progress advice, nothing. Now on fitting the replacement panel it was found to be higher that the original panels, and the end uprights are not at different heights to give the concave effect. they are all they same height.
I never received a GST invoice for the product received. That's suspect and I believe illegal.
I rue the decision to use this Company and cannot recommend them to anyone.
Unreliable & Unprofessional – We found D&F to be all of the above & incompetent. We contacted D&F on recommendation from 2 construction companies. The first occasion was prior to Christmas, they did not front re an appointment. The second occasion was early this year, another no show. Not a good track record from this lot. When the office was contacted, we requested to speak to the manager, the receptionist was rude & insisted on knowing what the problem was & would not put us through. We do not respond to such an attitude. Imagine attempting to get D&F back to rectify faulty work if necessary. This company have lost 2 other potential jobs owing to their appalling business ethics. We very reluctantly give the lowest 1 star rating.
Rude service – Very bad experience with this company. Unprofessional and bad services. They tried to blame on the customer for their slack of work ethic. Will never deal with this company again!!! Would hope they have 0 star option in the review list.
100% Happy – From Go to Woe the service we received was 2nd to none. The contractor who installed the pool fence did a terrific job and cleaned up really well at the end of the job.
Refusal to fix a 2nd time – I had alu gates fitted to the front of my garden. Within the warranty, they needed a fix, which was duly performed. However, the same issue has happened again, now outside warranty. D&F are refusing to fix albeit this is a problem which really should be still under warranty as it was fixed much later the original install, so warranty should begin from there ....or the problem should not happen at all!?!

missed something on the paperwork and that the order wouldn't go through until I attended to it. The speaker was a young woman with a haughty, irritating tone. I rang to ask to speak to the manager. The person I spoke to advised there were no managers on duty then DEMANDED to know what I wanted to speak to the manager about. I requested the manager's email. I sent an email outlining my dissatisfaction with the frontline staff I had encountered. She promptly returned my deposit, cancelled my job and left me in the lurch. Bad business and childish, retaliatory behaviour. I spent my money elsewhere.
Excellent service, top quality products – Top quality products and service. Very happy with every aspect of their work. Good value for the money. The gates they installed are first class. They seem to have lots of branches. We dealt with Penrith where they have a huge factory.
